Hatched during the fireworks: Killdeer chick slideshow

All three chicks came back! It's a miracle! Will make a new slideshow with the grown-up chicks later. The smallest one is the biggest one now.

Update: a possible sighting of the "little runner" chick and the smallest chick may have been seen--all grown up. Will keep an eye on them to make sure.

I'm sad to say that all three chicks didn't make it past their first week. Mom and dad made a bad decision to move them to another area with more predators and they didn't make it the first night there.

It's a little off-synch in the end, but I won't be changing it. Hopefully, I will have some happy updates, soon.
