Ok ..from what I know Magna Carta tears of blood on the PS2 was the 2nd which just happened to be the console port of 1st ..but it looks like the two of them are quite different from each other so if this true then MC2 should be MC3 but I guess that they're ignoring the 1st MC or the 2nd MC due to ceratin reasons.

I played the first one cause it was all "Real Time Action Gameplay!" and "Pretty sexy people!"... mostly the 2nd one... but the RTA thingy isn't like Kingdom Hearts for the 1st one, you're timed in Stamina, you have to refill elemental chi stuff to attack if you lose the chi, you have to chain together 3 different buttons at the right beat and if you miss just one, your turn is over. I... really didn't like the 1st one, and I'm hoping these problems don't come to this game, it looks great

all the ps3 aditional content got added to the XBOX versions in a recent update(if you have gold at least). ported the ps3 version for the extra char in ToV just to have it added to xbox via update also lol wasted more money on the decaying ps3, If it wasnt for a few ps3 xclusives my PS3 would be a dust colector. PS3 was such a letdown for me compared to the ps2 and psx's unlimited colection of RPGS. Never had a Original XBox for that reason but it seems the roles inverted with the 360/ps3

the ps3 extras get sold on MARKETPLACE for xbox if you want them they just come bundled in the ps3 thats all for example I have the PS3 chars for soulcalibur on xbox by buying them plus the 360 just looks beter if you have a 1080p hdtv I buy most games on both consoles +wii if it comes in wii(rpg/fighter colector) so i do play tru both and the 360 ones just look better and they even come earlier in some cases. Rock band 2 lol hours on 360 over 2000 on ps3 only 70 hours
It won't be anything genre defining, its a shame all jrpgs are created using the same worn out plot line. There is realy only 4 types of "protaganist", boy with hidden powers, boy searching for forgotten past, boys village/city/country destroyed by maniac, boy tags along to rescue or accompany prince/princess. It realy is a shame i would love something new!
they should try the harem rpg as a main aspect instead of a minigame as seen in some rpgs. Have a Techi style or some other harem styled main protagonist/carefree or such that hinders the outcome of the game if you dont balance his actions.

well, MC II is a krpg not jrpg. and to add to wat you said earlier, which would you get? a later, improved version that offers more or a basic version that costs the same? when it comes to enhanced ports, the earlier versions always feel out of date. in a way its unfair to the ppl who bought the game first: they could've gotten more 4 their money if they waited. i could barely bring myself to enjoy ToV, NG II, or eternal sonata since i heard they were being improved. now it goes for SO:TLH :(

Not entirely sure about this one. I'm a big JRPG fan, so I'll probably play it either way, but I haven't heard many good things about the original Magna Carta.
Magna Carta-Tears of blood for the ps2 kept me addicted all the way. At first the battle system had me going like wtf cause the other 2 characters were not moving but then again this was an entirely new battle system that made it worth while playing. There was no a.i. for your characters but you. Each turn that came up you decided which character to use and you set them up in positions where you can deal the most damage but still manage to keep you 3 characters alive. Well worth buying part 2.
Don't worry about the first game, I know I found the battle system and storyline to be boring for the first game but I don't think it should stop people from buying and enjoying this series. After all, this is a new revision of the game so hopefully they approved previous mistakes they did with the first game and came up with something brilliant. From what I seen from the english trailer, it seems interesting with a fun battle system. I'm a big jrpg fan too, so I try to support them all.

nope its real time with ATB stamina bar. atack to much and you get exausted, time it right and you can keep on fighting. ALso no MP in game its more of a damage building bar + the enviroment adds elemental energy that can be used by the casters but every action has a stamina build and if you pass your stamina you are poof! think of it as playing wow you have regen but if you go all out youll be useless in battle

I'm playing this game right now and I like the story.. Even its an "ordinary story" which is so predictable, but I still enjoyed it :)
The graphic is not that bad, the battle system is more better than the first one.
But, I dont really like when they're doing a conversation. Its not worthy for xbox 360. Even games in PS2 were better.
But overall, its worthy to enjoyed :D

i REALLY want to buy this game...but since there's a 99.99% chance that this game will end up with an enhanced port with additional content, i'll have to wait longer for its REAL release date.
i'm not being a fanboy, but this IS namco bandi, the same company that made tales of vesperia and eternal sonata 'exclusive'. knowing their history, what's makes u think this game will be any different? :(

well, MC II is a krpg not jrpg. and to add to wat you said earlier, which would you get? a later, improved version that offers more or a basic version that costs the same? when it comes to enhanced ports, the earlier versions always feel out of date. in a way its unfair to the ppl who bought the game first: they could've gotten more 4 their money if they waited. i could barely bring myself to enjoy ToV, NG II, or eternal sonata since i heard they were being improved. now it goes for SO:TLH :(

KRPG is pretty much JRPG...lets not kid ourselves..."improve" version doesnt have that MUCH difference from the "basic" version...unless your VERY PICKY...seriously?....look at bayonetta...if 360 is to get the ps3 version right now and the ps3 is to get the 360 version 6 months or 1 year later...i wouldnt cry about it...lolz...and actually enhaced ports "feels-out-of-date-been-there-done-that-kinda-feeling"...by the way, i think NG 2 and NG 2 Sigma are different games

I love anime but not these character designs. Tales games and cel shading are the best way to translate the style.
The designs are only slightly better than star ocean 4s dolls in my opinion.

Magna Carta-Tears of blood for the ps2 kept me addicted all the way. At first the battle system had me going like wtf cause the other 2 characters were not moving but then again this was an entirely new battle system that made it worth while playing. There was no a.i. for your characters but you. Each turn that came up you decided which character to use and you set them up in positions where you can deal the most damage but still manage to keep you 3 characters alive. Well worth buying part 2.

Don't worry about the first game, I know I found the battle system and storyline to be boring for the first game but I don't think it should stop people from buying and enjoying this series. After all, this is a new revision of the game so hopefully they approved previous mistakes they did with the first game and came up with something brilliant. From what I seen from the english trailer, it seems interesting with a fun battle system. I'm a big jrpg fan too, so I try to support them all.

nope its real time with ATB stamina bar. atack to much and you get exausted, time it right and you can keep on fighting. ALso no MP in game its more of a damage building bar + the enviroment adds elemental energy that can be used by the casters but every action has a stamina build and if you pass your stamina you are poof! think of it as playing wow you have regen but if you go all out youll be useless in battle

yeah kind of, they haven't been into the gaming history that long and haven't made much games like Japanese and American.
this game is good, but i don't think it will a perfect score 10/10 because i think many better RPG out there didn't receive 10/10.
but anyway, i don't mind if its crap or not, this game might be fun.
