  • clapton one of the best!

  • Michelob music. Beer is good.

  • this reminds me of highschool, a remake but a good one... its his song anyway

  • Well I prefer it over the faster version. Kind of captures a smokier mood. I love this version.

  • way better than the original? yeah ok..

  • You did a great job. Thanks for posting.

  • I've been looking for this song forever. Now I've found it.

  • YES!! It's you Eric!

  • Does anyone know where I can get this exact version of this song? They play this exact song on the radio every now and then, but cant find it anywhere?? What album is it on? can it be downloaded as a last result??

  • @feradian2011 Try the original Crossroads box set. I remember it came out on Vinyl and CD. try CD Universe

  • Everytime i hear this i think of the movie ''Rainman''. Theres a scene when its raining and their stuck in a cheap motel and they play this for a few seconds.

  • i was blown away when i heard this on the radio the other day... cant get it out of my head

  • this straight up kicks so much asss, way better then the original

  • @kornfreak814 *than

  • this version blows the earlier one out of the water!!!!!!!!

  • For some reason this song makes me want to drink a Michelob beer. :) I love this song!

  • Eric is a Brit, but he has done a lot for the Tulsa sound. JJ Cale a Tulsa native wrote this song, and Eric was known to have an all Tulsan band in the 70's and of course he recorded "Tulsa Time". I love this version of the song.

  • 9 people sleep too early

  • Very nice- thanks!

  • esta bien la edicion gracias por postearla

  • Não, meu camarada. Hoje, 13 de setembro de 2011, às 23:45 horas (horário de Brasília), há nove 'fuckers' que não têm idéia do que seja boa música.

  • Awesome !!! thanks for posting

  • I've been looking everywhere for this... Thanks for posting :-}

  • @jack102248 I've heard that.

  • JJ cale!

  • YES! I'm agree! FUCK HIM!!

  • Fuck anybody who dont like this

  • This slower version is so much better... Perfect for the Backyard Firepit Playlist

  • @movingman1966 Hell yeah man its on ours

  • Eric Clapton is the greatest musical entertainer of ALL Time!! I have always loved this version of After Midnight.....02:00 to 02:45, Man, gives me chills up and down my spine!!!! He is like massively talented on soooo many levels. :-)

  • yeah

  • This is by far the better Clapton version

  • @pauldeg927 I agree with you. This is a better version and his best song as well.

  • Justin Bieber could do this one much better.

  • @chasemonster hahahahahahahahaha, you suck at trolling.

you obviously wanted people to shout angry comments at you now for fun... am i right?

  • @MrBadAssBoy123 Okay, you got me. : )

  • @chasemonster Yea...Clapton is NOTHING compared to him..

  • @chasemonster you feel sexsuall plesure when peoples re: right ?

  • I formed my band in UK in 1985 and we called the band After Midnight after Eric's version of the JJ Cale song. My friend Alan Clark of Dire Straits plays keyboards on this version of the song. On his way back to London after recording the song, Eric sent me a message written on a Concorrde menu.

To find out more go to youtube.com/user/aftermidnight3

  • "After midnight, it's all gonna be peaches and cream...After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out..." hummmm

  • 6 people are in asleep before midnight

  • suono spettacolare

  • Slow Hand!

  • Amazing. Just amazing. Luv Clapton and this track.

  • Of all the various ways Slowhand has spun J.J. Cale's 'After Midnight' I have always liked the Michelob version best, Absolute up and in your face plutonium power pumped 4/4 Rock n' Roll!! ;)

  • Absolutely class stuff; This version of song inspired me to pick up a guitar; it was used in a Michelob commerical in the 80's. Brilliant stuff!!

  • Amazing Song! Gives me the chillz!

  • From what I've heard, this version was recorded for a Michelob Light commercial. It was so popular he released it as it's own entity. Anybody else hear that? I do remember it being on the commercial, but which came first? By the way, I like this one better than the original.

  • @auralconcepts I think you're right on that. it was a commercial first. Probably Eric got people from everywhere constantly asking him about that. The first time I ever heard this was probably a commercial during a football game. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if this wasn't a Super Bowl commercial. But I can't remember for sure.

  • Brilliant stuff, absolutely brilliant.

  • Clapton is in the pantheon of greats. Nuff said.

  • If you can listen to this song, and not appreciate how AWESOME it is, don't bother going to the hospital. You are already dead...

To the maker of this video: Thank you for your time and efforts. AWESOME!

  • eric is chuck norris

  • 5??? Are u kidd'n??? Dumb F#&ks!!!

  • 5 pieces of shit listen to bieber and black

  • the best version!!!thanks god !!!

  • 5 motherfuckers here

    CLAPTON IS GOD!!!

  • wish it just kept goin..some prick hit the faders WAY too soon

  • justin bieber click dislike?

  • Definitely one of Clapton's top 10

  • this song is purely a jam.....especially this version. Easily the best one he has done an i mean come on......after midnight it does all hang out

  • i think this is easily the best version by far.....i mean clapton gets down

  • Not to say this is a bad song, clapton rocks, but it's definitely not the best rendition of the song. This version was recorded for a beer commercial. The Original clapton version has a strong boogie feel, which was intended for the song when it was written.

  • please check out my son...named after Eric Clapton...primussux (channel) and theDIMENSIONchannel (channel) originals and covers...guitar player, singer, songwriter...very talented :) thanks:)))

  • No shit, I remember this Michelob commercial, first time I ever heard this rendition of a classic and it's every bit the equal of the original, great style and sound.

  • I always liked this version a bit better!

  • gotta love those 80's graphics!...and eric clapton. gotta love him too :)

  • For some reason, I have the strangest urge to drink a Michelob. Way to go Clapton!!

  • i love this version the best!

  • He really got the right to-RIDE WITH THE KING-Happiness MR CLAPTON

  • I love the after closing time 3am feel of this remake......definately beats the original. Eric is still the master

  • tabs ?

  • Best version

  • This is better than clpatons fast version of this....and jj is good...There all good lol!

  • four people haven't got a clue what great music is

  • @my74junker, 6 =[

  • @my74junker I totally agree with you on this

  • For some reason I have the sudden urge to wear a white suit rolled up at the sleeves and a pink shirt.

  • I can't wait until they make a movie about this mans storied life...... going to be an all time great mark my words

  • Great job on this song of JJ Cale.

  • Sounds like most was recorded in one take.

  • @LesCrapio How do know that it was all recorded in one take? I don't mean to sound critical at all, I'm just wanting to know how can you tell how many rep's it took to produce the final cut. What clues are there in this song? The reasoning I'm asking is that I'm a aspiring musician myself and I'm just trying to build up my ear.

  • great song wish i could down load it!!

  • Been trying to find this for years, can't buy it in NZ

  • I agree also. I wish Clapton played the song this way live. If that is Nathan East on the bass, he really helps knock this out of the park.

  • this is your daddy, is great the man

  • timeless

  • @angelikakravitz Agree totally. If there is a III world war, this must be sent in outer space to be preserved as a proove of human-race genius!

  • Great version. Too bad is not available as MP3 -Download. Best Bassline of all Clapton Songs and Productions!!

  • I like the clips you put together with this song

  • 2 fuckers have no idea of great music

  • @sahandius actually 5 :) by the way great song.. :)

  • @sahandius you and who else?

  • A number to die for!!! yeah!!

  • he is a fuckin bad boy mother fucker playin this tune . just teachin myself this on my strat . pissin next door off, they rent i own , sure they will get to like it. at 4 am with a bottle of jim beam in side me, good enough for eric , good enough for me. long live the strat.

  • I prefer this version. The other one isnt bad. Just prefer the hard sound and depth of Claptons voice on this version.

  • Thanks for uploaded this version.

  • very agressive, very from the gut. best rendition ever. long live clapton and JJ cale for giving him this song to cover lol

  • Love this version

  • thowin' a little stank on it - wallerin' in the funk baby!!!!

  • Ο ΕΡΑΣΤΗΣ ΤΗΣ ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗΣ ΠΑΝΤΑ ΩΡΙΜΑΖΕΙ!!!!

  • this is the best version of the classic. Makes me think of Micolob beer.

  • @waggeo99 wasn't that the ironic thing? At the time Clapton was going into rehab and these Michelob commercials were hitting the air.

  • i love this version of the song

    cant beat old slowhand

    great guitarist.

  • stupid library computer.. slow ass fuk.. but worth the wait yo!!

  • stupid library computer.. slow ass fuk.. but worth the wait yo!!

  • what album is this from?

  • i believe this version was on the crossroads box set

  • @edbeale It is. I have the boxset.

  • brilliant

  • cant find tabs for this verson anyone help??

  • This is one of his best jams ever.......awesome stuff!!

  • Good as the 1960s version with the band was, THIS one beats it! This one's the best! I've often said that remakes are a risky business, BUT WHEN the artist HIMSELF remakes his OWN song, usually the remake's better. Thanks much!

  • @hellsbellspapa You hit the nail on the head with that partner, because with what you said I just couldn't agree more!

  • @hellsbellspapa sorry to dissapoint you but according to all the geniouses on you tube a fella name jj cale is the original artist of song.this song is the best though tops alot of remakes.

  • just listened to the hard rock cafe barcelona!!!!!

  • my fav ec song and this version is best after midnight in my opinion. i have about everything commmercially avail of ec. die hard fan. m/62

  • Only the Strong survive and Clapton is certainly that! BRAVO!!

  • He has a golfer face.

  • listen to his solo. No where near as good as Clapton can play now cause he was so fucked up back then

  • Best version of this song ever performed. I think I remember hearing it first in a beer commercial. Great job you did with morphing all the older pics of EC with the video. He looked like such a baby when he was younger. But I guess I did too back in the 60's. LOL. Thanks for posting this!!!

  • @iceprincess58 This comes with the video. It's totally original.

  • This is sooooo good.

  • Can't get any better than this! Rock my cradle!

  • many times . the remake is not good. but! in this case. its great.

  • best after midnight version possible..different form the original but very moving IMO.

    thanks for posting...

  • Very good! Congrats.

  • My favorite version by Clapton slow hand is the man on the guitar....I have a better voice but he plays a kick ass guitar!

  • Najlepsza wersja tego utworu.

    Moim zdaniem

  • Yeah, Slowhand is God

  • love this version of this song. i can't wait to see mr. eric clapton along with mr. stevie winwood this summer in bucharest. god bless them

  • the legend. clapton. there are many guitar herrows, who admire clapton. I admire some one who learned from him. after a while I found out these facts. I study clapton. and was able to see. he has a very unique stile. nice.

  • I really like this version much better. thank you for posting, for others to enjoy.

  • .the later version of after midnigt, was great.

  • best version little slower little bluesier

  • i love this version, especially when it's on the michelob commercial from the 80's

  • that's the problem, they are now inextricably linked...

  • these were the days im 13 and i love this type of music now its all sex addicted songs its dicusting

  • I really like this version , better than the original. Its got a cooler groove I think

  • my fav version of this song and my fav e.c. song of

  • You should check out the version he does with JJ Cale at the first crossroads, I'd say I like it a fair amount more.

Can't wait to see him with Jeff Beck in Toronto in a couple of days

  • Eric clapton at his best

  • March 3rd. Concert.

  • It's a great song.

  • it was in a michelob beer commercial in the late 80's...never heard it again until the crossroads box set...good stuff

  • One of the best songs ever. This version blows the 70s version away!

  • I was just about to say that. Blues rock needs to slow down and take its time. This is so much cooler.

  • Very good version! Great sound!

  • Why not before Midnight

  • its hard to find this version on limewire. anyone have a search entry tip that might make the difference?

  • finest kind!

  • You are the best ,Eric Clapton.

  • Eric is kicking ass OLD SCHOOL!!

  • I agree. This is his best rendition of After Midnight.

  • Comment removed

  • @sort48 it is very good but the BEST, i dono, in my opinion jj does it better, it is my favorite clapton version though

  • @sort48

    Aye, cheers

  • This is much better than the other version

  • This is one of the best song's by far.

  • i agree, not to mention the good drumming in this version as i usually found gordon on drums monotonous..

  • who is the bass player? doesn't he still play with clapton?

  • @discwrangler Nathan East is the bassist. Last time I saw Clapton, Willie Weeks was on bass. Check out the stuff with Derek Trucks. Amazing!

  • This version tops the original! Much more bluesy! Much more edgy! Much more Claptonesque!

  • This version of the song is probably better than the original Clapton did. With this rendition, Eric Clapton truly made J.J. Cale's song his own, arranging it in a way which was purely his own. Also, this song simply rocks. Eric Clapton is a guitar god.

  • Clapton's version from the 70s is already much different from Cale's.

  • I like this version of this song by Eric Clapton.

IT is my favorite song by him

  • Makes me want a Michelob, lol

  • Slow Hand is the Master.

  • very nice song

    Rico - Brazil
