  • not the best driver r u but ur still trying and thts cool nice vid angles

  • I have an onboard vid of my 1/16 Slash VXL with HPI T-Drifts. It drifts awesomely. You just need a lil more power

  • Nah dont take this guys word for it. You can drift with practice. Search for a guy called "beubus1999" on youtube and you can see plenty of drifts.

  • @ScottRfc1990 Yeah all you need is the perfect laminate or lightly dusted smooth-finished surface or just the right amount of fine round sand on finely-finished tarmac and it drifts perfectly!

  • are these 1/16 Drift tires?

  • where did you get those tires

  • nice vid can you say me from where are the tires i dont find them in the intenet

    thx for a answer

  • what is better the normal rally or the ken block rally????

  • @Pippi437 theyre both the same thing... but the ken block one looks better imo

  • not bad u int so bad at driftingit and how much is it for one of those cars

  • Its not a drifter so if u want a drifter get the vaugn gitten jr rc...

  • i don't mean to call you out on what you think you know but in your vid you say that this car is supposed to be a drift/gymkhana car a car cant be both its either drift or gymkhana they're two different driving styles gymkhana tires have a lot more tread and catch more grip then drift tires due to the fact that you are slideing around tighter corners and spining donuts not drifting try doing some actual gymkhana with it and i bet the stock tires work better.

  • not bad , not bad atall

  • wat is that tires?????

  • I just bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday :D

  • I appreciate your honest opinion of the car.. but 90% of the other videos I watch, people are having a fantastic time with them and are doing some REALLY cool things with them too. It's not a drift car, its not an off-road rally car, its not a touring car, its not any of those.. it's an on-road e-revo that can spin donuts and as I have seen in MANY other vids.. do some quick agile moves on skate parks, in warehouses and in living rooms. And its an aweomse collectible item.

  • well let me drive that thing i bet i can drift it, i have one of my own with stock tires and i can get that sideways and hold a drift pretty well its the driver. not sayin ur bad but its all about ur driving style, check my video out hough go to garykimp, thanks

  • Would locking the rear diff help with drifting?

    Can the diff be locked?

  • can u put the hpi d-box in that?

  • looks to short to drift imo. based on driving real cars, my truck is easier to drift then a stock jeep. just cause it is longer.

  • it need a higher kv

  • You have to admit that not every car responses exactly to driver's sensitivity. Its just matter of getting used to the car. I think and i know so by my own experiances , my friend had some rc car and i just had to get used to the responses of the car.

  • Its a good car. Drive it around a bit more, and get use to it before you wright it off.

  • @energyrc exactly

  • THE WHEELBASE IS TOO SHORT

  • might drift a bit better with a brushed motor seemed to help my rc18r after trying brushless motor. tryed drifting my slash 1/16 and its just not a good stock setup maybe with softer springs, seems like the back end doesnt grip enough and causes it to spin out or just too short of a chassis.

  • neat car. is it worth getting? price is kinda steep.

  • What would happen if you added a gyro to the equipment?

  • Probably has a lot to do with the short wheelbase. But what do i know......

  • it looks like the rear wheels are spinning faster than the front wheels, some kind of counter-steer. You can see it on the straight when the car is spinning out.

  • looks like its slow

  • nice car ;-)

  • i think one chassis cant do everything i mean this chassis is used in the mini erevo the mini slash and the summit .I think traxxas made using this car in so many cars

  • those tires are designed for a heivyer car not the 1/16 scale because its lighter

  • you know there is this thing called positive camber i think it might do the trick after all you practically need it to drift

  • @PROJ3KTJ30 I've never seen a car set up with positive camber. Ever.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork extended tie rod camber links?

  • @PROJ3KTJ30 now i will say that chassis shouldnt have been for an onroad car and i think they were aiming for people to run this thing in multi terrain situations. for example dirt, dusty asphalt, rocky driveways etc. and i think the ads and hype were really misleading but you know traxxas its like they make it just to go fast and dont think about it. probbably dont even test it. but i will say they make some very versatile rc's because most parts universal

  • @PROJ3KTJ30 See my off-road driving video.

  • @PROJ3KTJ30 Never run positive camber, as there is no benefit and will only hurt a vehicle's handling. And yes Traxxas tests their products and spends a lot of time into the design and intent of a vehicles... yet another reason why they're one of the largest RC companies in the world.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork really?! the only car ive seen with pos.camber was the tamiya lunbox, its negative camber that helps

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx I completely agree... but I think you meant to respond to PROJ3KTJ30, not UltimateRCnetwork... just pointing that out so there's no hard feelings :)

  • @UltimateRCnetwork Only time i know anyone ever uses positive camber is for oval racing. Then they'll use it on the inside tires.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork +1, who uses positive?>

  • @UltimateRCnetwork i think the vxl doesnt hadle so well couse of the short wheelbase...my opinion.

    Great channel btw thumbs up

  • @UltimateRCnetwork

The problem is that the "Major" probably has a gyro. put one on this ford and it will drift properly for self-described newbies at drifting like yourself

  • @AusConsoleGaming No, no the Major didn't have a gyro at all. You can see body-off photos of it on its project page if you like. Lots of performance-reducing lighting equipment & such, no gyro. The TA05 I showed drifting quite smoothly in my TRX Rally review didn't have a gyro either, and wasn't tuned for drifting one bit.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork

Ok, thanks for clearing that up so quickly. Can the diff be locked? that could help. the bottom line is it isnt as good as it should be for an RTR model. So what would you recommend for a newbie into the market of on-road electric RC?

  • I think the chassis isn't long enough to drift right.. If you look at the TA05 you do very good job with that and you can see how different they are..This is more of a block chassis and the most other drift cars are a rectangle witch allows the rear end to wag like a tail VS spin out like an egg... make sense???

  • What about drifting on like more slippery surfaces? Underground parking?

  • Maybe wheelbase is too short for a drift/gymkhana car, isn't it?

This car looks sweet with that body and those rims, but for 300$ (here in Italy for about 200€) you can get better 1/10 drift car kits such as HPI or Tamiya.

Don't get me wrong, I love Traxxas: I have a Slash 4x4 and it's a good thing to remeber that they offer a nice electronic equipment (2.4gHz radio, waterproof and brushless system), but I think they made it too easily this time!

  • @SandMan1684 MY thoughts too.. its to short and block like.. drifters need longer Wheel base and more narrow. This is just the opposite short and wide... Jang just had to drive it to say hea this wont work right... Now some pro drifter may get this RC to hook up and do well. Not for me at all..

  • Haha great!

  • nice
