Tell me how someone made a fan-made animation of VII's battle system, (how it would be with semi-modern models and such) and he recreated the scene where Cloud beat Bahamut in AC and called it "Bahamut Slayer" I'm like: "...that's just Climhazzard." and people started arguing with me saying that the move WAS called "Bahamut Slayer" and that Cloud never did Climhazzard in AC. /slits wrists

@tajmonsta True. lmao Last Order was a good OVA, but a "small" part of me wanted a chance to play as him. I wish they made it more of a fan-service game instead of a clusterf*ck of "Okay...what's going on?" moments.

Chocobo breeding, revisiting famous locations from VII, Gold Saucer for mini-games, more background for the original cast, the original Nibelheim Incident thru Zack's eyes, Last Order scenes = THAT would've been a hell of a game! Genesis needs to just implode and just...die. XD

@tajmonsta We got nothing on any new VII game, so the future of VII is really "in-the-air", which PISSES me off. The story was so much better as it was in 1997, AC just made a nice addition to it, they didn't have to expand and throw money at it to make all these other games, the story is ruined now. I completely ignored anything that wasn't part of the original VII in CC, and like I said before, Genesis is a walking VOID of a character, everything goes in, but nothing comes out.

@tajmonsta My gripe with Angeal was...was he "REALLY" needed for the story? That, and this whole "Honor" and "Follow your dreams" and let's not forget "Protect your honor as SOLDIER" and all that blah blah blah. It's like they turned VII into a Disney movie! It was so kiddie, I hated it. With Genesis, he's so OVERLY important, he's more of a threat than Sephiroth (as of the end of DoC). How...can a *spin-off* character...be more important than the *original* villain? I've given up.

@tajmonsta Honestly, I was thinking they would have had a couple scenes from Last Order (Riding away on Bike while protecting Cloud in the way that you had to escape Midgar, while swinging the Buster Sword to attack enemies), or maybe some familiar places (Gold Saucer, Rocket Town, Corel, etc) to solidify more on the Background between ShinRa and the main characters.

The story could have been better, but we got a game that left the game open-ended for more. That, to me, is absolutely pointless.

@tajmonsta Good for you when it comes to defending old school > new school, that's hard to come by these days. lol

I think it was great that they gave Zack his own game to elaborate the proper perspective of the "True Past" of the Nibelheim Incident, but they added WAY too much instead of going off of what was laid out in VII and in Last Order.

I dunno, they did a good job, but with the awkward inclusion of new characters that only made the story more complicated, they could have did better.

@tajmonsta I knew a slew of questions would follow, so I took the time to flat out tell you, sorry for the negativity, but, in the end, I did answer your question.

The way the plot developed, it was just too much "make-believe" instead of going off of in-game evidence, so I decided to jump ship, although VII was my first FF. The story of Angeal/Genesis, this "Hollander" scientist, a "super-secret" Sector 0 for Deepground under Midgar *shakes head* it's too much crap.

Angeal was Cloud's original character design, so that's a basic "cop-out" for a "new" character that is the "supposed original owner of the Buster Sword"

Genesis is such a walking void of a plot device, and the entire compilation is just "playing off of themes" instead of legitimately "adding" to the story as a whole.

If you like all the new shit, go right ahead, I know when a good story goes bad, and it got bad at DoC.
