um... juanda told everyone what he had, how is that a good read? I know daniel is amazing at reading but when john goes ahead and says the flop was great and the turn was amazing but the river was terrible, he obviously started out with a decent hand and a draw, and then hit an amazing card in the King (the only thing that could've been was Kings up), and a terrible river means he wasn't chasing hearts. It wasn't all that amazing.
Juanda: good flop, great turn, rivers sucks. So he got a piece of the flop and hit his turn. So there you can tell he had a king. For it even to be a big decision you could assume he had the flush draw, which also means the 5 is what he hit on the flop.
Because that's how skilled Daniel is at reading people based off what they say and how the hand was played. Daniel knew he hated that river card and when John said "Great flop, better turn, the river sucks." That pretty much gave it away to Daniel.
Likewise - But there is SO MUCh more we don't see on TV. The way Daniel knew would have been: JJ's reaction to the flop - the way he was breathing/ where his eyes were focused; bet size; the way the chips were placed; reaction to being called & raised; what was said & how it was said (great flop, better turn, river sucks) etc etc...
I was at WSOPE 2009 & it was sensational to watch live. A real learning experience...
@ZioloWodka Negranu is a great reader of hands. And I think Juanda gave him a bit more info when he said about "Flop was good, Turn was good, but that river was sic" or something to that effect. Almost any game with Negranu in and he'll read at least one hand from everybody, he is one of the best poker players in the world
lol negreanus not even in the hand and he knew what he had i got i boner i wonder if he knew that to (:
