actually it wasnt...this uses air compression to rocket it up the tower.....similar to hypersonic xlc in kings island.the ride you were talking about was an intamin drop tower..which uses cables. they were using poor maintnense so reallt...al rides with cables are SAFE. unless they arent inspected. ps...that drop tower that severed the girls feet was removed.
