  • very good.

  • How do I obtain this into a CD or into iTunes so that I can download? Thanks!

Brings back many, many memories of my mom... who was a fan of these big Chinese Opera. I remember seeing Yim Kim Fai in person as a little girl with my mother at Chinatown, L.A. - Sing Lee Theatre. She was very nice to meet her fans, after a very long and tiring opera performance!

  • 好好好!!!

  • 人間絕唱,百聽不厭,百看不厭.任姐永遠懷念妳!!!

  • Love this movie and would not have understood it if you did not translated 4 parts and finale into English. Will you be translating the rest of the movie in the future?

  • @suelam0

Thank you for watching. I had wanted to finish the whole movie, but I stopped half-way because of some other challenges. I was also hoping someone would ask and give me a reason to finish the project. I'm quite pleasantly surprised to notice 20,863 views as of today.

    God bless you!

  • @irisesinthesun Because you translate, you are opening up Cantonese operaheritage to a whole new generation of overseas.THANK YOU

  • 活學中英,好

  • I think I remember this movie. How old is this movie?

  • @chinagrrl

I googled and discovered a list of YamGimFai's opera movies. This particular one was made in 1957.

    Welcome!

It's good to know you have an interesting name!

  • The most welcome movie and opera at the time and was Fong Yim Fen's best. All casts did a super job. The singing was beautiful. A movie for real Cantonese opera fans since the singing were mostly traditional with very few LITTLE MELODY such as in Bak Shuit Sin' s movies. Katy

  • @dcueba

    Thank you Katy!

It was very popular and Fong remains a celebrity to this day, beloved by all, young and old!

  • lovely, thanks for upload this

  • @noisesionoise

Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

  • i love this song

  • Yes, I love it too. It is very popular.

  • Who is the composer of LuoShui? Is it Tong Dik Sung?

  • It appears that the main female character has 3 different names: Yuin Jing, Elder Sister Po and Zhen Bu. Is that right? Thank you.

  • Yes, that is right, the Yuin Jing is her first name. She is elder than the male character who affectionately calls her "elder sister." Zhen is her surname. Bu and Po is the same Chinese character but the sound is quite difficult to translate into English.

  • It seems that there should be some more lyric before the episode ends. ???

  • I do not think so. This is the only version I have watched on VCD. I did not watch it in the movie theatres.
