  • It is cool!!! I like it!!!

  • You have to make 2 of them and let them play it together!!! :D

  • inpresionante, fantastic.

  • what did ur professors think about using a LEGO NXT for a senior design project?

coz some ppl have a prejudice against using LEGO NXT as they think it is high school stuff. and they might not take the project as seriously.

btw, cool project. r u using pure reactive AI or some prediction algorithms to intercept the ball?

  • @pranavtrehun007 NXTCam. It says so in both the title and the description. Ignorant juicebag.

  • i have the peices just not the motivation kinda frusterating

  • Hey! I'm really interested in your project! I sent you a PM. Please respond! Thanks!

  • I have a question! why did you use that color sensor?

  • Its used so that the robot can tell when its close to the wall(ultrasonic wasn't accurate enough), to avoid slamming into it! It slows down on grey and stops on black, it also uses the black to reset its tachometer, which is useful only in 2 player mode.

  • thanks for your answer~

And how the robot strike that ball?

what did you use on striking part?

I only could see something is spinning

  • is that stiriking part controlled by servo motor?

  • Hey, realllly sorry for not reaplying sooner..been quite busy with work! I *hope* to maybe make a website with more info/source code etc in the next few months if I get the time. But for now, yes it is a motor, which is geared up quite a lot, it uses a bar with 3-4 angled technic pieces that hit the ball much like a spinning leg! Because the motor is geared up so much to get the speed, it is not very powerful, the ball seen in this video is a ping pong ball!

  • i'm so appreciate for your kind answer. I tried to geared up and make that robot. But it joggles. So I make a pong-duel robot in a diffrent way. Thanks. your answer comes in pretty handy

  • make 2 and make them have a pong-duel

  • Yes! Its a good idea!

  • thank you

  • Alass I only had one NXT! However there is a human controlled 2nd robot(RCX0 and they can duel, I plan on putting up the video when I can but I'm quite busy this summer...

  • AWESOME!!! If only we can program robots to do stuff we don't like to. Maybe sweep the floor.

  • Lets hope you get an A+

  • Great + exellent work !

  • Great! It looks like arcanoid!

  • Hi! I'm doing P1 at the moment, i wanted to ask you if there is some website where i can find all the codes and methods for a RCX?

  • I'm not sure what you mean? What is "P1"? If you are talking about the lejos API then the the RCX one can be found at the lejos website!

  • This is very cool! Which language did you write your program in?

  • I programmed it in Java, using leJOS.

Forgot to mention that in the description actually, thanks for drawing my attention to it!

  • Very nice work.

  • Thanks, liking your slot machine too!
