You are the dumbass for denying it. Listen to a KoRn-riff and then the riff you hear at the beginning of this song. Still don't hear any resemblence? Then you are a fanboy. Its nu-metal.

Why is that? Hypocrisy even admitted that Slipknot was a influence to this album (you can look it up if you don't believe me), so how can you deny that it doesn't at least somewhat sound like nu-metal?
Slipknot's self titled album is the only nu-metal album they have released. Now, I hate Slipknot, but "Iowa", "Vol.3" and the 'new' one are not nu-metal (I've heard the songs from those albums). They are groove/alternative metal (another genre that I dislike).
Nu-metal is full of rapped rhymes and there are no solos. So, Catch-22, despite it being influenced by .Shitknot, is still melodic death metal, even though is highly influenced by groove metal.
I can't say it according to you, but I do not see any kind of arguments from your side. The only thing I see are butthurt fanboys who desperately want to whine about their 'favorite' band.
The overly groovy bouncy-rythm's, sluggish guitars, all give away that Hypocrisy IS aiming at a 'bigger' market. Peter even admitted that Slipknot was a big influence for this album, so explain to me how that can not be any more obvious? I never said anything about ALL their CD's being nu-metal though.
I like the whole collection of hypocrisy, except the new one " a teste of extreme divnity" and the re-make of this album

Hypocrisy did say they were influences by Slipknot on this album, so that makes it arguably nu-metal.

Bullshit, dumbass.
Catch-22 has nothing to do with nu metal.

first of all you cant compare a band like korn to a band like hypocrisy. this way more death metal then anything korn or "slipknot" have ever done
you cant say that all hypocrisy stuff is nu-metal either (even though its not)
hypocrisy is a band where you cant pick 1 song to describe the band. there styles change for ever different song. sometimes
i would never EVER say they are nu-metal.
they would be old school death meal with a mixture of different melodic styles

I think Hypocrisy was never made for the 'bigger' market. He created, if he ever wanted to go "big", Pain
