Great guide but my only suggestion though is that Venomancer should have at least a magic stick (don't upgrade to magic wand) since he will always be in team fights. It has always been very helpful especially if you need just a little bit more mana to cast your ulti and of course for survivability as well. :)

With the new patch, buy the Ring of Basilius, then upgrade it to the Ring of Aquila with a wraith band. You get 9 extra damage with also the added Agility which will give Venomancer even more damage because he's Agility.

@iwirthless It's a waste of money. There is no stat bonus whatsoever from making the Aquila. Don't waste your money on the wraith band. Basilius is for the armor and mana regen.

Scrap the vanguard. It's dumb. Get an urn to help with the mana+some hp. You don't need to tank tower shots to push.

@ComradeDover it's also important for teamfights, most of his damage comes from his spells, the longer you last the most dots you can put and re add, it's a basic concept

@t3kn0l0v3r You can also accomplish the same by managing your positioning. Once you've blown your ult, you don't need to be in the middle of the entire enemy team.

I mean, you could say the exact same thing about CM ("Well her damage comes from her slows and spells so the longer she lasts the more slows and spells she can add, rush vanguard on CM!"). If you can manage your hp and mana in lane without getting pers on every hero, you can manage your hp as veno in teamfights without vanguard.

I love these guides. A quick tip, to give the armor bonus to allied creeps you must have it active in your inventory, you can tell when it is on because it lights up in the middle. Keep up the great work!

this is more like a professional dota game guide for veno. wouldnt work in a pub because often you are looking for solo kills and this build gives no damage. no ones gonna help you gank in a pub and everyone is gonna go carries for those KS's.

@dakdhadf lol? you NEVER get carry items like manta on veno in highly skilled games, because you are either support or in some rare cases you solo bot or something, but you still aren't a carry! So buying things like wards, pipe, meka are the best choice, sometimes if you're farmed you can get aghaim's, but you won't be THAT farmed as veno in a clan war or tournament... and btw vanguard is a poor chouice also because you're ranged and you won't have the money... arcane boots>pt

You sure spend a lot of time at very low mana in this vid, especially around 5:30.

I usually get manaboots so that I can be assured of always having a slow ready. It's really his best skill because it is so strong and long and can hit everybody on their team potentially. Then you can run up and ult them, and it looks like in this video you'll never be able to do that crucial combo.

I also like to be more nimble and avoid tower shots and get Mek as my 1st item (after basilius and mana boots)
