There are 4 quarters. Each consist of 12 minutes. Halftime is after the 2nd quarter. Halftime is 16 minutes long, usually. If the game is tied after the 4th quarter, than the game goes to Overtime. Overtime is only 5 minutes long. If both teams are still tied at the end of overtime, then they go to Double Overtime. And keep going like that.
