shes a professional nail technician but she was fileing your nails in different directions which is really bad for the nails :/

Gawjus Lisa! stick on nails are now being sold at drug stores as well. They are pretty similar to minx, but the great thing is that they are made of actual nail polish so you can simply remove them with a nail polish remover. thought you might be interested to know!!

Why did that nail tech say that filing seals the minx? Filing does not seal them-Only heat-One thing I find that works to hold down the edges down is a sliverof glue on the very edge-I am also very careful when I cut them down so not too much filing is needed-PLUS they have to be cooled down after the heat seals them-AND U CAN do them on yourself if U know how to do nails. @BillyBones139 nail stickers...but more complicated. I'd understand if the lasted longer like gel nails do but honestly, they're harder to put on than the nail stickers. I just had the leopard Sally Hansen salon effects nail stickers on and they lasted for a week and were MUCH easier to put on by YOURSELF. I got a lot of compliments and questions on how I did them when I did was peel them of a piece of paper and put them on my nails.
