Galactic Civilizations II. It's a 'Civilizations'-type game (I.E. a Turn-based-strategy '4X' game), bit in space. It lets you make surprisingly detailed custom ships.

HOW TO CREATE A ANIMATION ?

@horiaonofrei You need the Twilight of the Arnor expansion pack. In the ship designer you select a part and there's on option called Animate. Nu ti-am raspuns prea tarziu, nu? :)

click the part, and on the right here should be the word animate

@mrtin2811 so this works with one addon. basic gal civ 2 does not support animated parts (according to the modding guide), so maybe it's dark avatar, or the other one, right?

yep GalCiv2

its basically very similar to civ games but takes place in space. research and fighting is very similar except that you get to make your own ships and decide what weapons you put on them and such.
