  • Why why why does your video start with "making love in the kitchen" then switch to an amazingly gorgeous girl with a kick ass personality and .....geez, I forgot what I came here to watch.

  • After three days- stick it in the fridge (unless you are using proper canning techniques). Will stay in the fridge for months, Enjoy!

  • I definitely plan to try this. How long will it keep in the fridge after it is opened? How long will it keep on the shelf?

  • 1-2 inches at the top is sufficient and having the mason jar lid helps as it allows for some expansion. You do want the lid tight- but not impossibly tight. Once the fermentation is done, the first time you open the jar there will be a little pop and really stinky smell. Those are the gasses escaping. Hope this answers your question.

  • Other videos say you have to have room for gases to escape and to keep the lid loose.

    Is that necessary on smaller batches?

  • You could use a shredder blade on a food processor but a blender will turn it to mush.

  • Could I use a blender to chop it thinner?
