The ten pound poms sure made some good singers down under. Stevie Wright, Bon Scott??, Ted Mulry, Jimmy Barnes and many, many more. But I like this song bestest of all 'Aussie' records
this band never got the recognition they truly desereved, listening now it is easy to hear that, such a big voice from gerri, powerful and knocks you over.oz was a big place with lots of time warps then eh!
Thanks for posting,We love The Loved Ones a big part of my life going to the Thumping Tum Berties Sebastions Catcher & Biting Eye in Melbourne to hear this band Live. The most original oz band of their time.
A great song from the 60's, it is right up there as one of the best from that era, the album was also a good effort as well.

Forget Friday on My Mind - this IS the greatest rock song ever recorded by an Australian band. RIP Gerry!

I have great memories of seeing The Loved Ones all over Melbourne's venues in the mid 60's, they made good music.

Rod R. just a correction on my previous statement. Gerry Humphries was not the brother of Barry.

You missed one venue. "The Garrison" in Prahran.
What an awesome band, I felt privileged seeing the Loved Ones live all over Melbourne in '66

I love this song. It points to the craziness of love or how love can drive you insane.
