  • Guys, chill the fuck out. I'm sorry that I said that his cage was bad when really, it's quite a good little set up. Back then I literally knew nothing about snakes and their psychology so please ignore my ignorant comment from so long ago.

  • Just saying on the bark topic, if you take any organic matter and put into water it will loose some of its pigment to the water. If you really don't believe me do the same thing but with a few leaves or normal tree bark. I use store bark and my snake is just fine.

  • how do u protect the bamboo?

  • beautiful snake :)

  • upgrade?? wooo livin the dream there!!

  • Know what ur talking about before u make a video

  • hes going to need a bigger tank rather than that dinky little bin/tub with nothing in it because its going to grow about maybe 4-6 feet long and thats as tall as my sisters boy friend this python maybe little right now but it will get bigger thats why i have a 150 gallon glass terrarium for mine and he loves it he bit me when i disturbed him so he loves his tank and if i disturb him again the same thing will happen so get a bigger tank because you will need it and please put more in the tank

  • hey how big is he or she now?

  • weirdest cage Ive ever seen for any animal lol

  • give the poor thing some foliage

  • when you were picking him up i would have bet $1000 that he would bite you your luky how tame your green tree is if i did that to mine she would kill me!

  • noob video :D

Thumbs up for the idiotic terrarium

  • Why would you need a heat mat when you have a lamp?

  • Eurgh. I can't stand the comments from people who clearly have no idea how to keep snakes or what their requirements are. You sound quite young but very knowledgeable.

  • dude u really need to get that snake a bigger terrarium

  • @aarongil17 Bad idea, it will get stressed! that is pretty big as is.

  • Ummmm. When you heat up those lids, they release toxic chemicals.... So yeah. And you should probably stick your water dish to the side of the cage (off the ground), because he will rarely go down there. Really nice snake.

  • Sweet video & nice setup

  • Juveniles generally are either yellow or red its not until they reach maturity do they 'turn' green, I saw a juvenile today which cost £650

  • why is a GREEN tree python yellow?

  • temperature thing lol

  • how big do they reach as adults?

  • im sure he feels right at home in a plastic container with nothing but a few sticks of bamboo.

  • @jasonaaronrose They're bred as pets. they wouldn't be alive if they didn't live in plastic containers with sticks....

  • @zifikz lol thats the stupidest logic ever

  • @chizoioioi I meant that specifically. If that certain python wasn't in captivity, it wouldn't exist. Might be a little too much for you to understand though. It's ok, sometimes understanding stuff is hard....

  • @jasonaaronrose all they do is stay on the branch so they dont really need much

  • @moneymikemoore totally dumb

  • @jasonaaronrose Since we're being sarcastic, I'm sure you're know a great deal about the emotional needs of reptiles.Green Tree Pythons, as with most snakes, are solitary animals who desire nothing more than to be secluded and unnoticed so long as they remain well fed. While I personally prefer to make my enclosures attractive and decorative, there's really zero evidence that snakes can tell or would care anyway.

  • @jasonaaronrose Plastic tubs, like the one in the video, are perfect enclosures for pythons of multiple species. They provide the security and humidity that they need to thrive in captivity.

  • @jasonaaronrose Wow, you're an idiot that knows nothing about snakes.

  • @zippybomb

yeah back then i knew nothing about snakes sorry, idk who the fuck thumbed it up though aye

  • @jasonaaronrose He looks pretty comfortable to me.

  • @jasonaaronrose yeah like put some effort into it, its a hobby not a chore.

  • @jasonaaronrose Hes setting up a breeders cage cocksucker shut the fuck up if he going to keep it then he would build or get a cage and make it more natural so again shut the fuck up you troll

  • is he good for a begginer snake?(i know lots about geckos but i would like to buy a snake too)

  • @mikaboom123 well no i reccomend getting a ball python(any morph) males get about 4 ft females get 5-5 1/2 and theyre really docile . i got 4 of them . if u want a 7-8 ft snake redtail boas are just as docile(if held alot and fed well) and both balls and redtails really dont have a problem feeding. ive been researcing green trees for over 6 months and bascically kno about everything, they needa be held everyday so they dont become aggressive, + theyre nippy, so u cant be scared

  • @woopsreptiles Well i know a bit about snakes i for me tha ball python is not a good begine as they sometimes have feeding problems

    i prefer this beauty

also i am not interested in a ball python

  • @mikaboom123 RARELEY but if you want feeding problems buy this guy

  • @woopsreptiles hey man

i had thoughts about buying one and i have to say that i changed my mind

these guys need LOT of care so i will probably buy a carpet python

  • @mikaboom123 capets are beutiful and just easy. nippy but get calm as u hold them. they only climb on branches wen yung but also might have feeding problems converting to rats

  • (continuing) they are high maintnence and somtimes regirgitate and have feeding problems, u NEED a fogger for humidity NEED to be misted everyday change water everyday and need substrate(moss) do research untill u got everything down pat(hope i helped, add me as a friend if u want to learn more check out my vids ill do a cage update on any snake and subscribe) =)

  • @woopsreptiles u are wrong

  • @JMHITMAN69 o really? wow i didnt know since i have one and i work with snake for most of my life but thank for your opinion =)

  • @woopsreptiles well i worked with greg maxwelll and know with rico walder and chondro dreams and we all get info so yeah your wrong ;]

  • @woopsreptiles oh well i breed them and own about 55 and work at rico walders facility and know greg maxwell so your still wrong ;]

  • @JMHITMAN69 haha nice doubt that considering you make videos of search engines . well i know definateley alot more then you about gtps, etbs, ball pythons and any boas then you do smart ass

  • @woopsreptiles im on my son channel dumbass i made him searching for a snake and since hes so smart he and made a google video which i was impressed with so i let he have a baby biak green tree python hatchling i hatched out a month ago and hes 9 so yeah fuc off

  • @JMHITMAN69 ya i send my hopes for that snake, you probably have it in a ten gallon , with a hide aspen and probably feed him mice ,,, feel so bad

  • @woopsreptiles no actually hes in a cage from pvc cages so yeah

  • @mikaboom123 Only if you research and know what your doing

  • IM NOT YO DADDY IM YO PET SNAKE!!!!!!!

  • babys can easily take a whole pinkie its not big deal, all it does in my opinion is fills him up for a longer amount of time

  • They are only orange and yellow when born after 1yr they change green no such thing as gtp morph no yo shit niqqa.

  • @ monica0soares dw i have 2 of those it was a joke :)

  • where did you get it? it's beautiful!

  • Nice job on the video just thought i should tell you that the fir bark bedding has tannins, a natural compound present in most bark, (the compound that will stain the water) in it so therefore even fir bark straight from the wild will do that to the water. it is entirely harmless.

  • more like yellow tree python :D

  • @Lolzorpantz They go through a color change as the get older and become very stunning :)

  • The only thing i have to say is actually if you were to go out and take almost any bark off of a tree and leave it in water it will turn red. so repti-bark really is safe but bedding is just a pain in general. but great vid!

  • were do you get the bamboo sticks??!!

  • had a green one out the back i think with a yellow head , had no idea really wat breed was so i just left it lol was awesome tho

  • @24cupcake24 Hiding places? Green tree pythons coil around branches when they're resting...

  • bjkbjk

  • they are definately large enough to devour a whole pinky, i have a couple snakes and my little milk snake, hes tinny like the size of a pencil maybe smaller ate the whole thing

  • Appreciate the advice, the handling section was great.

  • just testing my repti-bark fropm zoo med now.

no left it for about 5mins and nothing clean water.

  • Most woods have natural tannins that will seep into water. That is why when you put driftwood in a fish tank as a natural water softener, it may tint your water. Some people recommend boiling the wood, which can be helpful. My fish tank water looks like really really weak tea, and my fish love it. That's what a river looks like anyway.

  • no air holes??

  • Anybody recommend a good online forum for specifically GTP's? I am interested in buying one, for the first time. :) Thanks in advance to all who help, peace!

  • how much did all this costy youu includinq the snake ?

and where did you qet that snake ?

  • I dunno bout dyes in the repti-bark you mention but some woods, like bogwood, do have naturally occuring tanins in them which will turn water a reddish brown colour.

  • if they drink from their coil, is the water bowl just for extra humidity... Also why does that snake only eat pinkies, i have corn snakes that size that take down fuzzies no problem

  • can you feed them crickets or insects?

  • How Much waz it

  • @24cupcake24 This is actually a really great set up. You saw this guy's snake, and it was obviously healthy and very happy. As for how natural it looks, well... That snake has never seen a natural environment. It's captive bred. So if you argue that the enclosure needs to look more natural, you argue for display purposes only.

  • @24cupcake24 WOW! You're really critical of someone who actually knows what he's talking about! You need to correct your information before giving this guy any crap! Taller ISN'T better for GTP's! These animals live in trees and go from branch to branch (meaning they need length not height). They rarely go to the ground. What they need is an even temperature gradient and good humidity! A 2x2x2 tank (for an adult) is quite sufficient! Do your research!

  • piękny wąż

  • nice snake

  • @burub123

    @johnny66636

    Thanks ^^

  • how big do they get?

  • so sweet... how's she/he now?

  • I'm from England and have absolutely no idea what a Pinky is, when you were talking about feeding.

Good video though, lots of info, so I'm more confident about getting my own snakey now ^.^

  • @GarytheSlug its like a baby mouse that has no fur on it.

  • @GarytheSlug a pinky is a tiny mouse that hasn't grown fur yet

  • gtp or etb, witch should I get, I need advice!

  • vet du om det en liknade men mindre boa eller pyton som ligger på det där spännande sättet förresten fin orm

  • nice

  • Nice snake ...and btw it`s all good cuz gtp or snakes in general don`t care if it´s a "bloody box" as long temperature/ humidity is ok

  • the way i out my corn snake in his cage is put him on the top of the cage and he'll crawl on the top of the cage like a branch over to the corner where the bowl is get a drink and go back in his hide...

I LOVE MY CORN SNAKE <3

  • Hey love your vids, i really want a green tree python but i was just wondering a few things how big do they get full grown? what species / type is yours it started with and S ? And how much would they generally be? And do they make good pets because i heard they can be vicious? Thank you very much really hope u can respond.

  • I dunno if I could just put my snake in a tupper ware container, like I have seen a lot of people do, thanx for the sexing info, wasn't sure whether to get my corn snake sexed or not =)

  • bambus isnt pretty a good thing its to slippery take something row that she can better molt

  • i like ur vids but those gtp's need a better home, i knouw u know what ur doing but... those things needm more natural enviorement... but still i envy u for how cool those look

  • very informative!

  • how do you waterproof it??

  • you ar god at you thing abut this snake :) . at my self i got 2 milk snakes 2 ball phytons 1 conr snkae :) . son an ( yellow anaconda ) :)

  • are all pythons this delicate?

  • y is he yellow

  • amazing snake. nice enclosure. check out my channel and comment on my gf's blood python

  • worst care video ever.

  • dude thanks that helped ALOT

  • First off, 95 degrees is too hot for a chondro. Also, you want to have a thermostat because heat uniformity is extremely critical for neo chondros. The heat lamp on top of the tub is a bad idea because you want a horizontal temperature gradient, not a vertical gradient. You covered tons of trivial information, but failed to acknowledge the importance of temperature and humidity, which are perhaps the most important parameters of chondro husbandry. Do your research next time before you post.

  • I AM GETTING A GTP!!!!!!!!! ITS TAME, It is Completely Green I think it is 2 years old. NOT SEXED, I dont know what kind even though I know alot about the GTPS

  • how much did it cost

  • 350

  • 250, at an expo

  • I haven't done your experiment with ReptiBark, but if you dunk any type of wood it release natural tannins into the water, it doesn't mean they used dye. Nice snake by the way!

  • if you can't take the bamboo out easily, this whole habitat will be hard to clean. It wll be hard to take the water bowl in and out, etc.

  • @S0undproof does this snake turn completely green after a while then and how long do they grow max thanks jay

  • Awesome video man.

  • so.... if your not supposed to hold them UNTIL 5 months, how do you feed him because I heard that your supposed to feed snakes outside of the cage?

  • @bo0gie1 you dont have to, its just so your snake doesnt think every thing that goes into its cage is food

  • thats a myth. you can feed snakes in their habitat every time. . they wont assume anything in their cage moving around is food.

  • how much do one of these cost?

  • @hudson334 350-450 depending on colour variation

  • @hudson334 uk that is

  • holy shit haha

  • @hudson334 $250 - $2000

  • Love the bamboo. Really good idea.

  • crate myrtle is also a great perch to use its naturally mold resistant

  • you fag

  • look i was just getting some prices for snakes for my friend

  • how much was your green tree python? and how big will he get?

  • they get 4-6 feet. I am getting one at the expo

  • @ 411ipodtouch your lucky hope you get a nice one

  • Do you know if zoo med repti fogger is good for a GTP ?

  • one thing with your heating. putting your heating source on top. wouldn't that be bad because most reptiles need to be able to adjust their heat. if your hole cage is the same heat they can't do that. obviously.

  • how much does a green tree cost ? like the cheapest

  • @lavila22 If you have to ask that question, don't buy one...

  • Hey Bud. 90 Degrees is too warm. You don't want it to get above 87 or 88 or it can be fatal.

  • he ever try biting you?

  • how wuch was the python, and what do they eat?

  • in general you can feed them mice then rats

  • do you recommend one as a pet?

cos im looking into getting one..

  • dont get one as a first snake but there really cool to watch if you know what your doing

  • i want one.

  • i don't think so.

    :)

  • I heard that handling them can stress them out to the point of stress and if you are going to handle them , it should never be under a year old. Also, I was tild this can cause kinking of the skin. I'm not bashing you, I was just going to ask your opinion on the info I've gathered. I don't own one of these but would like to learn more about them , really cool video thanks.

  • Youre stupid. Why the fuck would it need to be natural looking? They don't know the difference!

  • Good job!

  • Grats 10,000 views!

    Love this vid.

Amazing looking snake. Keep up the good work!

  • 300$-400$

  • lol, retard...

  • What's the price for a baby green tree python?

  • good vid thats a perfect set up for a baby every body thinks there a gtp expert dont listen to anyone

  • look at all the major gtp breeders, this is what their cages look like. a small hatchling needs minimal space. its better for them.

  • @pythontricker Key word, BREEDER. This little girl/guy is a youngen. I definitely agree with 24 cupcake24. Make it taller and more natural looking.

  • @pythontricker If you are a breeder it's more than OK to keep your snakes in small enclosures to keep the overheads down. But in your case, and mine too, you should make it look more like a VIVARIUM, and not so much like a "Breeder's Cage".

I would recommend you try using a mix of tree bark, ground coconut, moss, and a few real plants. Your enclosures will look way more realistic and attractive, and at the same time they become almost self-maintaining.

Go ahead and enhance their life and looks!!

  • they like thinner twigs

  • only if your cage is interesting to them

  • you really should add more plants to the tank, gives the snake some more hidingplaces, and a more natural look cause atm, your tank looks like a surgery room or something =/

  • this is all a a baby needs. there is plenty of space in there for the snake.

  • @Byronbandit this setup is what you would use for basic its a good way to save money

  • Hi first cage, how many quarts was it?

  • I know it is like a year later but you could have fed him fuzzies at that point he was large enough :)

  • Those perches are very close to the lid, and You should have put the vent holes near the bottom because of how heat rises and will escape. And also if I were you I would invest in a ProProducts heat panel probably in a 40watt or alittle under.

And invest in a spyder robotics thermostat. What I told you will cost you over $200 but with that type of snake its more than worth buying....And 1 last thing I would invest in a light with a UVB bulb.. So dont think im hatein on you, Im just looking out.

  • My mate had a lovely yellow and red pair of green trees, very hard to keep as with camealeons

  • dude, conifer bark in water will release tanic acids which stain the water reddish brown. nice snake. why don't you have better ventilation in there?

  • no they move around mostly at nite

  • thats an awesome setup

  • how much and where did you get this guy from?

  • beast

  • do u have a reptille collection i have one u should check it out its called reptille collection first

  • how big do they get and how much are they

  • they get around 3-5 foot. and prices range from $250-$800.

  • i go to rep expos and their only like 25$ lol

  • what country are you in? maybe someone erased the 0

  • how large do these get as an adult

  • how much did u pay for the snake? plz reply im lokking forward to buying 1

  • can babies be housed together

  • arent then supposed to be green?

    im a noobie

  • They turn green when they are about 8 months old.

  • no they are morphs like his its not green because its a mutation

  • GTP dont have morphs....babys are yellow and become green as they mature.

  • hey nice python a few days ago my corn snake that i had for 2 years got out of his cage because a rat got in my house and she got it and ran away but now i am getting a green tree python and a stronger cage

  • i know how you feel man mine got out 2 days ago i found him outside today somehow im confused on how that happened

  • i have a few questions please reply because im defonatly going to buy one. how much , do they stay yellow , and at what age can you feed them live mice thanks =]

  • about how many years will his color turn green?

    thanx man!
