She scares parents while making them suspicious of physicians who actually are qualified to and should give medical advice. She ignores research simply because it disproves her claims. her child was diagnosed in 2004. mine was diagnosed in 2000. my best friends son diagnosed in 1989 ( got off the spectrum by age 14) now 17 off the spectrum using same ideas as Jenny. Parents have been helping the kids for at least 17 years.

Your wrong. My best friends child got removed "off the spectrum" with in the school district at age 14. At 5 he was severely autistic. Interventions helped his progress so much he went from autistic to aspergers to language delay to NOTHING.

Listen to what you are saying...the aspie thought process is still there.  Of course it is. The goal with every child is to maximize function. In the school, you will qualify if your disability (autism or otherwise) interferes with your academic performance. That does NOT mean that it goes away. It's awesome that your friend had such success. It is the hope that all kids will w/o undergoing the voodoo Jenny promotes.

Misdiagnoses happen. I was misdiagnosed for several disorders since I was three years old. Many people are oblivious to the fact that I am autistic because I have improved in social and communication skills. However, autistics that have improved in those areas display autistic traits when they are subconcious because there is little

No child "goes off the spectrum." Besides, 80% of autistics do learn to talk at some point in time. The 20% of the ones that can not talk usually use other forms of communication such as sign language or hand gestures. There are many autism myths that must be debunked once and for all.
