  • i havent uploaded any of the videos yet but will soon along with the new dyno sheet. im running an intercooler off a 99 or newer 7.3 with the custom piping, ts with beans diesel tunes that are free reburns for life, stage 2 190hp injectors, their dominator 66 turbo, adrenalin hpop, and electronic fuel pump with duel filters and pressure regulator all from beans, the dyno sheet shows 422 rwhp and 806 rwtrq and getting 21mpgs on the highway

  • if you havent already bought a tuner i wouldn't go with the dp for a couple reasons. unless you spend the big money on the f6 tuner you have to send it back for any other mods to the truck such as injectors and hpop or fuel and turbo. i have a 97 powerstroke that had a dp and it holds shifts too long and shifts a little off sometimes. the new chip i have is a ts 6 position with beans diesel tuning. on the dyno it made 40 more hp to the wheels then my dp on the same settings and picked up mpgs

  • Mufflers and DPFs are for pussies. I have a straight piped 7.3 IDI with a Banks Sidewinder goin on it in the spring. I will have the 3" DP to a straight 4" pipe exiting after the cab. It should be kick ass.

  • @ctkallday666 you should here one with a blow off valve on it... it really hisses...

  • first i love the truck and i was wondering if i may make a few suggestions (1) if u havent already cut off/remove the silencer ring of the intake side of the turbo it will give u a much louder turbo whistel.(2) with that sick exhaust i think u should add a smoke switch they r very easy to do either i can tell u or look it up on here it will look soo nice.(3) and finnally go with the tuner/chip because u can remove the rev. limiter and still improve fuel mileage! good luck man.

  • Wow dude that sounds amazing!

  • @ctkallday666 yep for the most part, different weather and temps make it change a little, but sounds like music to me..

  • any issues with the transcooler line and the downpipe?

  • @guyincognito83 No Issues, just better sound, mileage and cooler EGT's

  • My bud got a 1997 Ford F-350 XLT Dually crewcab, and is gonna do some stuff to it

  • whats your combined gas mileage?

  • @incompletehunter I average about 18. I can get over 21 on the highway if I'm easy on it, under 2000 rpm's. The new fuel pump helped it was suckin a little air. The intercooler and new turbo are next...then maybe start playin with some tuners.

  • @treeguylee do the tunes and then the intercooler and then turbo. youll be really happy with a tuner. i suggest 6 position TS chip from Swamps diesel. or a DP tuner

  • @incompletehunter fuel mileage lol

  • @that1reallycoolkid whatever.

  • @incompletehunter im sorry man it was just to easy.

  • great video bud..got a 95 powerstroke lookin to put the mbrp downpipe on

  • this truck sounds awesome man im looking for a 96-97 7.3 i have an idi but really want an OBS psd, the remote start is awesome too!

  • Hey..quick question--I'm new into the whole diesel thing..Hoping to learn a little bit here..I have a 2000 F250 7.3..I've heard of some guys taking out the whole turbo wheel and putting in a bigger and better one. Is that possible?..I would be interested in doing that to mine.

  • There are different wheels available, most dont do much for performance but can reduce compressor surge.

  • Wow, looks impeccably well taken-care-of. You keep that up, I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit 300,000, if not more.

  • shoulda got a 5 in tip...

  • I have a truck just like that, same color, but it is a reagular cab and has the 460 in it.

  • nice truck man, ive got a '99 Stroker myself, though mine is a crew cab. as of now i've got the stock 3.5" in pipe with the muffler cut out and a straight piece welded in, but i'm looking to buy a full 4" stainless system, how much did yours cost?? and what kind of mileage are you gettin?? cuz i cant get mine to average over 16 or so, and ive got 3:73 rears, so its not running real high revs or anything.

  • I dont remember how much it was. it was cheapest from XDP. I can get about 20 on the highway if i can keep my foot out of it. I get better and worse mileage because the straight exhaust sounds so cool under load. The K&N intake helped a little more than the exhaust, and cutting out the DPF helps. Tires make a difference, I run 265/75/16 BFG rugged trails. Not good in mud, I use mine as a tow rig. I am still using stock programming, as I dont want to mess with the program yet.

  • i certainly agree with you on how good it sounds under load, when i've got my gooseneck hooked up i plant it under every underpass i go through. perhaps i'll look into a K&N cold air first. i run 265/75/16 BFG mudgrips on mine, real good traction (should be for $1000!!). i havent noticed much difference as opposed to the highway tread i used to have. my highway mileage generally sticks at about 17-18 at 70mph and 2050 rpm, but the truck weighs 7900 lbs empty, so i'm not sure i can go much higher

  • I usually am pulling a 7,200 lb tree chipper, and it sounds mean going through the bridges. I usually get around 17 mpg even when towing. I get the best mileage if I can keep my foot out of it, and under 2000 rpms.

  • @ashbranson my dad with his 2000 f-250 7.3 is getting about 25 on the open road.

  • I don't like the shell on it but man I love those model f150s, also the gen before and the 70s are bad ass !

  • I would check out Edge, with stock injectors the most you can get out of them is about 75hp extra. I bought an edge chip for my truck and it's more "peppy" and it gave me better fuel economy.

  • sounds kind of like my 1993 6.9L IDI with twin turbos and 8 inch stacks

  • There was no 6.9 IDI in 1993.. In fact it was one year before they stopped making the IDI period.

  • @Hotrodx199

    i know

    i put it in

    originally from a 1988 F-350

added the turbos as a kit from Banks

  • check out beans diesel performance.

they have a website and are the best for 7.3's

TS 6 position chip is what you want!

  • Awesome thanks!

  • what kind of power pickup did you see with these mods? I'm looking at intakes for my 97 PSD right now and trying to decide what to go with. I've liked K&N in the past on gas motors but I'm wondering if it's worth all the cash on the diesel.

  • Well I dont have a dyno to tell the actual figures but it is probably about 15 hp as a seat of the pants guess and what both manufactures claim. I did notice better throttle response and now that it's straight piped just sounds mean. I have noticed actual fuel mileage increased 3 points on the highway to about 20 if I take it easy, and about 18 if in town. I like the K&N it delivers more and cooler air, but its your choice. Changing the program will be the real power boost.

  • nice truck

  • i love fords there my favorite

  • fords are my favorite 2 lol
