if you go on apples website and build a mac, with all of the top of line components its costs $20,000 but if you got to alienware, etc. you can build something of equal power for about $1,500. That $20,000 mac also has about 3/4 of the benchmarking power of the alienware, it only supports 1 gpu and while it may have an 8 core cpu in it, is that really necessary? a quad core intel i7 is just as good and costs 1/2 of that. seriously people need to boycott apple, and get fucking smart

For example a GTX 260 is normally $159 and has 1g of vram but for a mac a GT120 that has 512m of vram is over $500 and thats just for one for dual its over twice the price for half the power

Alienware builds computers and sells them for more than a 300% markup. If you where to go and buy the parts at say Memory Express, or an equivalent store you could save hundreds or even thousands. Yes Alienware produces high end machines but they do it at the highest price. I build about 4 computers a week at Memory Express. On average they cost about 1.5 grand. To price them out on Alienware website they are almost double that.

Crysis... very bad game, i mean, game idea and game is very awesome, but it´s wrong-made it... its a game that uses more process and resources than what it really needs... I mean, look HL2 or CoD2, or CoD4... its just about the same... except for the requirements... its the diffrerence in a game that is well done coding and a game that isn´t

Difference is its a big world Hl2 is linear so they can kind of fake it because there is nothing beyond what you can see if you look at a cod4 map there is really not much there
And crysis is poorly coded on top of that Source was worked on for like 8 years Cry 4 half of that

whao, well, the words about that all does games sit in the mac impressed me. What is sitting there? i think iMovie is a great game, or phtoshop, maybe normal firefox? oh people. mac as a gaming platform? haha, you suck mac users, if that was a real gamer, he would then play on alienware. Of course you can't get Adobe Premiere on a MAC, Adobe Premiere uses SSE2 instructions.

My friend has the mac that allegedly can run windows programs. My ass it does. He couldn't get it to run Adobe Premiere. I had a blueberry Mac once, back when they didn't come with any way to back up my files (no disk drive to copy to, only a ROM) and I was supposed to drag my cd's into the trash to to eject them (WTF!) I just knew they were lame. Now I have a Dell with Vista and it is pure awesome.
