Costume stores, 2nd hand shops or ask someone from the church they may keep clothes from the 70s that were a bit old fashion - i know because I had a green dress very old fashion and could have been worn during this particular play Good Luck!

@Gellybeans24 Good will is where many poeple who're doing the play at my are getting their stuff. Males usually have a hat, a skimer hat for quartet and a fedora for most of the others. YOu can get those at say target or some other store. Women usually have a longish dress that has a little color to it which u can find at goodwill. whats ur character?

I just spotted this video clip and what a little trouper Winthrop is!! Check out how he plants himself firmly center stage, if he did that by instinct then Wow! If he was following stage direction then Wow anyway for executing direction with conviction!

We did our matinee of The Music Man Today we have performances tomorrow night and saturday night. This is my fav scene, i get to sing montgemery ward sent me a bathtub and a cross cut saw. this was pretty pitiful, ours is WAY better

Our winthrop won the national oscar myer weiner jingle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a celeb!!! PWNEDWE are all elementary and ms. Paroo Is a fifther grader and Is bigger than our musical Teracher!!! Aww, that Winthrop's cute! In our production, I had the "or a double boiler" solo. Ah the memories of this song - our director yelled at us because we didn't have enough energy. Later, he told us it was a bluff. Pretty good clip.

I have a question. I am playing Alma Hix in my school's production of The Music Man in April, and I was also given the second solo ("In March I got a gray mackinaw"). Is that okay for one of the pick-a-little ladies to be singing? Or am I going to have to give that one up? (The solos in this song were cast before the actual characters were cast! Haha, my school's a little... weird :-P)
