  • Men of God !!! It's time to step out and be courageous to take back what has been taken Our families, our honor, our love. It's time to step out from behind the walls and say enough is enough and I'm not taking it anymore. This is our time to be the fathers we always told ourselves we'd be when we were growing up.

  • i think the idea of a cop movie as a follow up to fireproof is amazing, bu the idea about how fathers are supposed to love their families..... brings me to my knees and makes me cry my eyes out. I'm a 17 year old guy. not having a father.... as it says it effects a persons life more than anyone could ever know.

  • @andersonfighter32994 My friend you have a father you can call out to him any time you need him His name is God and he promised never to leave of forsake us meaning he always has time to hear and he will answer you all you have to do is call out to him

  • this song for some reason makes me think of my friend and how diferent we are, she believes in gay rights and it makes me sad because its wrong and sick and well i guess it makes me think of her bacause i had the courage to stand up to her and tell her its wrong and im still trying to convince her

  • Last night, I and three friends in ministry went to a presecreening of "Courageous" in London, and I have to shout out to the MEN OF COURAGE to go see this movie when it opens on Sept. 30! Take as many friends as you can! Bring unchurched friends who need to see God work in their lives, who have seen brokenness and abandonment and the accompanying hurt that goes with fatherlessness in this country. May God speak powerfully through this film!

  • Lord, make us couragous. Give us the courage to do what is right. Give us the courage to show others the the light. Give us the courage to never fall. Give us the courage to give you all. The courage to fight, the courage to live, the courage to follow, the courage to give. Make our fathers like these men, give us a love that never ends. These men of courage need to see, Your love gives them courage, it is the key. I can't make them change their hearts, but I know you can, make them never part.

  • @Constant0123456789 Thank You. Thank you so much.

  • I almost cry every time I hear this song and watch this video. My dad is waiting to get remarried and I'm still trying to find a way to talk him out of it. My mom and my siblings want him back. This song, and the moving coming out soon have given me hope. Maybe if I can get him to watch this movie he'll understand what kind of a father he needs to be for God. Dad, if by some miracle you find this song, I want you to be Couragous.

  • Heard this on my local radio station and this video makes it even better.

  • (part 18) because you love God, or simply because it's what you do? The road to heaven is narrow, (see Matthew 7:13-14) and many will think they are going to heaven who aren't (see Matthew 7:21-23) and you can judge each other by each other's fruit, that is their lifestyle (see Matthew 7:15-20.) I didn't intend to preach at people on this video, it just sort of happened. I started typing and got on a roll I guess. I'm just sad at the spiritual state of America.

  • that you believe (because of God's word) that you are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, which is a gift from God, not of man's work, that no man may boast (Ephesians) and that as a result your life will be changed, you will be a new creation, and love God, not what you used to love, (see Ezekiel 36:26; 2 Corinthians 5:17;) they automatically pin you as a legalist, because to try to obstain from sin. But it's not just about the action, but the motive as well. Do you do good works

  • (part 16) according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. for to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. for the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." the people I find in the church are hostile to God and His ways. If theydiscover

  • keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." -John 14:21 Alas, (by the way, I'm 18, not 81, I just happen to be a Christian, that's all.) all I find in the church are carnal minded people. Every church I go to ends up greatly disliking me, or at least many of the people in it. They are just like the world, and want to think that God's a-ok with that. But Romans 8:5-8 says, "For those who live

  • (part 14)Jesus say to "count the cost" of following Him, or that "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, not yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." (Luke 14) Or that Jesus says, "If you love me, you will obey my commandments." -John 14:15. or "He that hath my commandments, and

  • (part 13) are wrong and that their own are completely right. It's ignorant and close minded." Then within 40 seconds she quickly took me off her Facebook friends list. And that is just one example. So many people get angry when I bring out what the Bible says. The sermons they enjoy use a very certain select and small amount of the Bible, only focusing on one little aspect, instead of the whole message. They love to hear "God loves you and has a great plan for your life!" But they don't want to

  • (part 12) word down your throat. I didn't realise God's Word would push you away from Christianity." She said, "Well when it's 16 comments long, yeah." I said, "you just want God's Word then in small doses?... But I'm still confused, why would someone wanting to share with you things that person has found in the Bible make you dislike Christianity?" She said, "That's not what I said. Quit twisting my words to make you sound like a bigger person. It's when people tell others that their beliefs

  • (part 11) trying to make them understand it turns them away." I told her, "So again, you are right, I am not God, my mind is not God's mind, His ways are beyond my understanding. I simply see what God says, and I only wish to share what He says with others, and ponder it with other Christians such as yourself. If you are angry with me about that, you are only angry at god because it's God's word I brought out here, but I was not intending to bring up an argument. I'm not trying to shove God's

  • (part 10) want. The girl got very angry at me, and told me she doesn't even like to be called Christian because of people like me. She said , "Okay seriously, stop. I didn't ask for a Martin Luther King speech. Its honestly stuff like this that makes me and many others dislike Christianity. I don't even like to refer to myself as a Christian. I love Jesus, I love God and I trust the Bible. But you don't know everything about God, neither do I. When you shove all this scripture at people

  • God has changed my heart to hate my sin. But before, I loved him like a child. A child loves their parent because the parent is the one who continually provides for that child, they feed it, they cloth it, they give it what it wants. If the child had the power and means to live comfortably with out it's parents, would we still see that adoring love? Or would we see selfishness? A child who decides they don't like their parents because they aren't fun enough, or can't give them everything they

  • (part 8) cowering and trembling. After that, God saved me, and that's when I could love Him." I explained later that it's a selfish love we have really. Because before we are saved, before God regenerates or heart, we don't truly love Him. The reason I turned to God is because I didn't want to go to hell, I wanted to save my own skin. But otherwise I was totally comfortable with my sin. But when God saved me, I loved Him, in the same way a child loves his or her parent.

  • (part 7) Matthew 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." I then said, "You know, it was my own experience that it wasn't until God made hell a reality to me, and eternity a reality to me, that I truly feared Him and my reality, and you know, that did indeed put fear into me. Truly, anyone who knows they aren't saved and believes in God would be an absolute fool not to fear God with

  • (part 6) Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Proverbs 23:17 "Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long." Jeremiah 32:40 "And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me."

  • (part 5) I told her that was the most common answer I've gotten in America. Then I told her that the reason I've been asking people is because of the Bible verses I've been finding that speak about the fear of the Lord. Psalm 2:11 "Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction." proverbs 3:7 "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."

  • (part 4) Everyone seems to watch the same movies, and play the same bad games. Some secular people tell me the reason they aren't Christian is because of the hypocrisy in the church's. I can't blame them. Whenever I start quoting Bible verses, "Christians" get angry at me. I remember asking a girl if she feared God, or if she thought that was a silly concept since she loves Him. She told me she fears Him, but not a cowering fear, rather, a fear of respect.

  • (part 3) I remember the pastor Paul Washer talking about how people say they want to go with him on his trips to preach in other countries and he says, "No you don't." and they ask "Why?" And he says, "Because, if you did, you would be excommunicated from their church." Because in other countries (certain ones) they have real Christians where they really are there for worshiping God, and loving Him with all their heart and mind and soul and strength. I don't find that here.

  • That's why I'm nervous. There's a few very good movies out there, like Time Changer, and Late One Night, and End of the Harvest, and Facing the Giants and Flywheel, and especially the VOM Underground Reality Vietnam and Columbia, and the Cross in China. But most of the "Christian" movies I find are simply made to be a little more "clean" than what's already out (although they are still dirty, and shallow) to make money. I want to know where the body of Christ is!

  • @MissionaryforAmericA This movie "Couragous" was made by the same group as Facing the Giants and Flywheel.

  • I'm just worried that they will compromise in the movie and make it unacceptable. Today's Christian society has become really sad for me. I go into the Christian book store and what I find is very many wolves in sheeps clothing. Why do I hear the taking of God's name in vain in the Christian book store more than I do in secular public? Why am I able to find less offensive Hollywood movies that what they present in the "Christian" movies today?

  • courageous to go out and fight for what is right :)

  • "..and its time for us to take back the fight back??? wth is that supposed to mean. Christians! stop teaching your children HATE. that is not a family value.

  • @Waiting4You715

It's not hate. There isn't any notion of hate in this song. It's about all of the sinful ways that are taking over today's society. Abortion, drugs, etcetera. We could be the generation to stop all of the pain and try to heal the present sin in the world. We must show unconditional love to do so, not hate.

    With Love,

    Kris

  • Prayed for you guys in South Georgia during the making of this movie ! It will be wonderful to see it !

  • I absolutely love this song and the clips from the movie. I'm so excited to see it; Can you hurry up September?! :)

  • I think I can hear the feminists coming running? ;) Not this time or no more, WHERE ARE THE MEN AT!!!!!! I am sick of men being boys. Cowards, rise up men, Love your wives first, don't come home from work and lay yourself down in front of a TV when your wive has been working all day. You help her, and don't think your wives get off the hook either. He helps you and you help him, until we return to the earth just as the Lord said in Genesis.

  • @Shoots1978 You will have complete rest for your souls when you are trusting in Him alone, and not in anything your doing, or have done. Do what do for Him, for His glory which leads to another song, "Do everything". ;)

  • Great job all. Here's to fighting for the Kingdom...

  • they wrote it for the movie. And, although I don't really like C.C. that much; this is a good song.

  • This is awesome! So did Casting Crowns write this song for the movie, or is this an incredible coincidence?
