this is an exagerration of what a real Christian should be, it's obvious this guy's a thumper. I'm a Christian & I do enjoy some of the things mentioned here and I don't worry about it corrupting my soul in any way, shape or form. I'm strong enough to withstand everyday temptations and I make sure I stay grounded in my faith.
Man that really hits home, raised in an overly religious family, my parents pastor has rules that he will not let women on the stage who are wearing a sleeveless dress, and anyone with beer in their fridge can not be a member of the church... I love beer, so guess who refuses to be a member? way to save souls there pal.
But Christians shouldn't have fellowship with darkness and the the unbelieving: 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"
Of course at a secular job we often have to work with unsaved people, and we can hang out with people in order to reach them for Christ, but we should not participate in sin.
Now, we shouldn't be condemning people for their sins, God is the ONLY Divine Lawmaker and Judge. Matthew 7:1-3,5 and James 4:11 are telling us to refrain from condemning others for their personal sins.
But people need to know they are sinners (all of us are) and they also need to know about the Gospel and how to get saved. If people dont see that sin seperates them from God and that He hates sin, they would probably not turn to the Lord because they probably wont see the need for a Savior.
Truth may offend someone. But not one person ever went to Hell, because a preacher offended them with the truth, and they refused to get saved as a result. No, people go to Hell because they love their sins - John 3:20, "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." It is man's stubborn rebellion and pride that gets him killed.
As Christians God wants us to stand against sin. He asks in Psalm 94:16, "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" God commands us, in Ephesians 5:11, to refute (Greek, elencho, which literally means, to EXPOSE) all Satan's works of darkness ... "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
@eric5335 In my experience, Christians who spend all of their time trying to dictate the behavior of others do so mostly because they don't have the spiritual fortitude to dictate their own. Christ gave you the ability to reach out to people on his behalf. He didn't give you the ability to be arrogant for him. Here's a verse for you: "Rather, in humility value others above yourselves" Philippians 2:3
@nofalltoofar Yes, nobody should be arrogant. But we have to speak out against sin publicly and in love. Notice what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:1, "It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife." The sin was "reported commonly."
@nofalltoofar Paul simply addressed a situation that had become public. In verse 11, Paul tells them not to even eat with the man. Most people today would accuse Paul of being a hypocrite, and a hatemonger.
Jordan, what I am getting from this is that your film is directed towards Christians as a Christian yourself. Am I right? In other words, you are holding up a mirror to certain Christians who are a bit overbearing and legalistic towards others.
As a Christian, I have seen this type of person, too, and early in my own walk would feel the need to Bible thump. I will have been a Christian for 30 years this May and I have come to hold a more libertarian theology. Let people be themselves while being an example in how I live, staying focused on Christ and letting Him touch the hearts of others as He deems timely.
Ah the Christians, the only group left that it’s still PC to mock and spit on; or, as you do here, to make super exaggerated cartoon like characters of. You disappoint me with this one Jordan. Not because you go after Christians, but because it’s not funny. This sketch is just short on imagination. There’s no hook, there’s no twist, and there are no laughs. It’s just got a ‘blunt instrument’ feel to it. Here’s to the series getting better!
ahhhh satire. never would have thought a crowder would be capable of such disgusting atrocities. your kind makes me sick. i'm gonna go occupy something.

This was a good short on those goody goody kinda Christians that are hard to relax around. They're actually causing more harm then good with this kinda attitude. They discourage people and cause people to turn from Christianity all together.
I guess it's just a toss-up for me, should I be "pushy," "aloof, uncaring and disinterested," have a "stick up my ass," or be a "hypocrite?" The thing is, people are going to have an opinion about you no matter what you do, and my experience has been that atheists will generally have a negative opinion about Christians, just because the tenet of their worldview is that belief in a deity is stupid. It's tough.
Pokemon? Have you never sat down and watched the cartoon show or looked at what the game is about?
Well, I've watched the show with him...
...And you're okay with him being exposed to such a show?
Uh...
...You really need to get closer to God, not only for your sake but your own children's sake as well. Open yourself up to God and become better parents.
God is a total dick and his book sucks.
Oh wait, he's imaginary.
Religion is for the weak, fearful, and ignorant.

Exactly, Jordan, you wouldn't see a bunch of muslims quoting the koran and condeming jihadists at a goat's milk party.

If a person does not accept Christ or is not interested in becoming a Christian, then so be it -- it's their freedom to choose.
