MMMMM_MMMM_MMMM.. WAT CAN YOU SAY.. HE IS PURE LOVE.. AND A TRUE BLESSING TO LOVE AND THE LORD JESUS CRIST. I SALUTE YOU AL AND ALWAYS REMEMBER I WILL TAKE YOUR MUSIC TO HEAVEN WITH ME
Thanks Mr. Al Green. You have filled a void left by Otis Redding, and we are so happy for you. We pray that Almighty God will continue to bless you and keep you around to praise him in your songs and bring joy to the world.
well i really like rock music, and i really hate love songs but when i was watching the book of eli i some sort heard this music and i was wanting it and now i got addicted listening to it everyday now i can separate rock from lovesongs i love al green now, does anyone can suggest a touching songs for me it makes me cry hearing this music
@rebelelite11 I love all kinds of music, but i felt the same way about the song when i heard it in the movie. My mother would hear this kind of music growing up and i forgot about it. This is my favorite song now and i get on youtube just to hear it....there is another song that touches the heart that you would like to hear. It's DANCE WITH MY FATHER by luther vandross. Hope you enjoy...PEACE!
@rebelelite11 why don't you also try 2 other amazing love songs (2 of my favourites). Try Otis Redding's songs "i've been loving you too long" and 'these arms of mine". The way Otis Redding sings them makes you feel your hear is being ripped out.

You have to excuse me but, you can see how God has touched his life, very different from his other video's very young very renewed, wow what a God we have. beautiful see the cross & the star of David, I am so glad nothing but joy babe. I am so glad cause, we never forget our past, but we know where we are in God new in his love.
yes i don't know about Rev. Green's reasoning but Elvis also wore a cross and the star of David.....said he didn't want to be left out of Heaven on a technicality. Ha
He's the greatest! Yes, I too was impressed that this song was played during the "Book of Eli" with Denzel Washington. I got to singing it in the movie with Al! And they said Ali was the greatest.....naw...it's AL GREEN!!!!!
@quehitman I know you posted that 5 months ago, but...great music is great music, and the Bee Gees wrote some of the greatest songs of the last half-century - including this one.
OK, Al was like, "rush if u want 2", but I'm feelin' right now & you invited me! Ha, go ahead & let em' pay 4 overtime Mr. Green - we want to hear ya!!!
This is WAYYY better than the Bee Gees version. Though fair play to them for writing an amazing song. I always hated them. The recorded version he did of this is better though. He stops the band too much at times here for my liking, but the performance is amazing and his voice has never lost anything. The tone is incredible. To me he is the greatest soul singer of all time, certainly the greatest living one, then Stevie Wonder.
bee gees are AWESOME love them but................................al green got this one hands down .smash destinys child for there bee gees redo...ughhhhhhh now that was aweful
I am german and I looove Al Green. I only knew his face from photos and had never seen him performing until I came to Youtube few month ago! What a man!!!! I`not a believer, but there are some people on this planet with a lot of good spirituel energie, Al Green is one of these wonderful humans!
Amazing, enchanting, exciting, wonderful, soulful, brilliant, emotional, talented, and last but not least BLESSED,with a voice that God himself chose to give no other. The one and only Mr.Rev.Albert Green!!!
Every performance is truly tantalizing his vocal ability and agility is of no other and with that he takes us on an emotional rollercoater the kind you just dont want to get off.
An inspirational performer exposing red raw emotion, with each note he wrench's from deep inside his southern soul. Each performance becomes a major theatrical event holding his audience spellbound and more than willing to travel his tightrope walk between insanity and perfection. This is the work of a man posessed. Posessed of a Musical Genius known to the lucky few.

Once a Bee Gees song, always a Bee Gees song, they simply have no parity.
