Thanks! I got my case at a mall kiosk and the guy selling them put it on for me right then in there. I didn't keep the 'wrapper' and so, didn't get the chance to read anything on it.

I had noticed the slot, but I was worried I might break either the case or the ipod, or both, by forcing the case open with a coin.

how does it such shit? that statement makes ZERO sense.. the case is actually a GREAT case, and, one of the best cases I had when I was using the iPod Touch.. it supplies complete coverage for the iPod Touch, and doesn't add to much bulk, and is a great price.. by my standards, and the thousands of people who use them, its a great case.. but then, theres you.. who apparently knows something none of us know?

@chriswtburke This case would be a great case if half of them even FIT the iPod touch, but this company can't be arsed to put out a new one until 6 months after a new iPod is out. Oh and guess what happens then? Apple releases a different sized iPod Touch! GENIUS! i believe the original case was created for the first gen iPod Touch.. which is what I had.. and it fit perfect.. if you have a 2nd or third, and you went out and bought a case for a 1st gen, thats your own stupid mistake..

If you don't want to nick and scratch the case, put a cleaning cloth between the coin and case before you try to open it.

I tried this sooo many times...the case opens up a little bit but never breaks loose enough to be removed. Any help? My case has not been removed since March and a lot of dust has gathered up around it...! Thanks, please email me.

give it a good twist,, use a quarter or something big... you wont break.. if you twist it enough, it will open enough to pull apart

When you're twisting the coin, push the coin into the iPod to keep the maximum leverage of the coin on the case. You might get a few scratches on the corner this way, but it works. I just had the same problem and the coin method still works, you just have to push harder

it says right in the instructions to use a dime or nickel to pry the case apart ( hence the gap in the casing.
