We don't fire this terracotta as high as our glazed stoneware which is about 1300 centigrade otherwise it would just melt,I think it's around the 1200 mark.
I will get some Terracotta Clay. Do any of your videos explain the way you pull the clay upwards using your technique? If not, would you please share this with me (and the world)?
Wow, that is a goal for me...to make to pots, bowls, whatever, that look the same in size and shape. I wish I could do pottery everyday to get consistent faster. Okay...patience...I need to learn patience... :) Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy your videos!

We use a number 2 cone.
Don't know if the numbers mean the same over there though ?

We fire to cone 10, which is high fire. So if you fire at cone 2, which is low fire, then I sappose the numbers are the same. Thanks for the reply!

You've really got to get some Terracotta Clay.
It's the easiest to throw by a mile.
It's so forgiving and you can just lift it and pull it to your hearts content.
I'm throwing this all week so I'll be posting a few more hopefully.
