el movimiento 7 no es tan rapido, la yop chagui no es tan alta, es al medio, movimiento 24 mala base, no lleva ancho de hombros y el pie esta en medio ancho, luego bien.
Interesting how in TKD forms they purposely rise up b/w movements, then come down put extra snap into the hip action. In Japanese/Okinawan karate this usually discouraged unless we're transitioning to a natural stance. we tend to go straight into the next move w/o rising, but I see how it has meaning in the Korean forms. I've just been educated, thanks!
TKD is supposed to be progressive. Hip twist + sine wave. Now try to imagine if pulse and other internal energy methods of power production were included!
When you move up and down your movement is seen from the opponent 1-st ,2-nd when U are up and got a stroked in this or the mid point U will see the sky from the floor hight.Like bullet can cut trough a lot more when his mass and force from powder are in pick, not when is falling down because of dropping mass.
Anyway this is my point of view and no jump ping up and down will change my view.Love TKD but have you heard or done some Senshido? Don't try to compare this are different things.Respect to anyone who does sport.NOW get your as..to the gym..!!! ;-)
He won pattern worldcup medal, so whatever you say probably will not affect what people think of him as a great pattern executioner. I personally agree with you that the korean guy above looks better than Suska though. The korean guy performs faster, his movement looks more disciplined than Suska's.
U drop your body weight when U brake piece of wood down with force down, when U want to brake someones ribs your force is waisted down. Speed+mass(and how strong are your knuckles)will crack almost anything-basic Kinetics.
Quick and strong moves, but his eyes aren't in play at all. When turning, he doesn't turn his head soon enough to "see" the next opponent. Thus it appears to be just a series of pretty moves, not a performance that depicts a fight against multiple assailants.
No it is not North Korean. Much of Choi's research of TKD was pioneered whilst he was a commander of the Korean army fighting the communists in the Korean War and this was carried out in Jejudo in Southern Korea. This style of TKD was practiced in the SK army and schools up until the 1988 olympics when it was decided a more sporty TKD was needed. In the petty politics Choi's TKD has become demonised and a very Korean and patriotic TKD has been undermined.

Very impressive and snappy kicks, and clean individual techniques. I just don't like the look of the "sine-wave" motion that ITF does. It ruins the cleanliness of the form, imho.

Overall an excellent form my only criticism is that he shouldn't have paused while transitioning from the front punch to the lower forearm block

Btw, check Jaroslaw Suska's patterns on youtube.
They're brilliant! Only thing, he sometimes stomps a bit too much..

As I've preached on others of these videos, you really shouldn't cease the movement of you arms within a technique.
And yes, the techiques are fast, which is good, but a bit more of strength wouldn't hurt.
(I like this guy's patterns SO much more, that the other guy's.)

Yea ive noticed too many people stop their blocks short meaning they wouldve been punched and not blocked the attack
