  • is it ok to use wd40 on a 6.2

  • It is cranking too slow. Your batteries are weak, you don't have good clean connections, or the starter is worn or combinations of all 3,

  • my 6.2 wont start with ether or WD-40 or other crap its either glow plugs or nothing

  • More details, pls...

  • my glow relay F'ed up a month ago and i wanted to drive around in the snow with my truck i tryed starting no lukc so i plugged it in and luckily i had it parked in a heated shop so i turned the heat up to 25*C still no start so i sprayed a little ether in the intake it just slowed my cranking down so i tryed WD-40 still nothing so i just waited untill the next day for my relay put it in and the truck started at -3*C without being plugged in its all in them damn glow plugs

  • wow, thats cheap... its fine for other trucks that are direct inject...

these are indirect inject, and the 6.2's are also low compression for a diesel...

its best not too... might be a good deal, but its possible that you can melt down those pistons with that stuff... my opinion... wd40 works ok, never really had to use it, but thats what everyone here uses.

  • Fixed starter and glo plug wires. Starts GR8 now... Ug

  • also engine starter isn't good for direct injection engine either. i don't know where you heard that but you NEVER use starting fluid with any diesel engines that have glow plugs. it says so right on the can. the stuff he was using is non-ether formula so i'd say its safe.

  • @jeepkeiserm715 6.2's are low compression for a Diesel? you don't know what you are talking about they are 21.5 to 1

  • oh no! theirs the start of the problem... its really bad for these motors, very bad... like i said use WD40 if you need to, it wont hurt it at all...

  • This is 'sposed ta be like WD40, no engine damage...I bought several cans for .25 cents each... Ug

  • if you need to use any starting fluid on a diesel you've got problems. a diesel should start right up very easily with functioning glow plugs or grid heater(if its a cummins).

  • no one cares about your stupid cummins

  • the cummins that i don't own right? i've actually got a 6.2 and a 6.5.

  • oh man i dont know why but thats teh funniest video ive seen today! i love the camera shaking

  • It's friggin' cold round here, so I'm in a pissy mood. So I decide ta make a vid, and it takes my mind offa' the cold... 20f now... Dammmmm... Ug PS, Only 400 more vids to watch... Hahahahahahahahaah Ug

  • lol its high 30's here right now

  • This stuff is 'spossed to be much less harmful, if harmful at all. But it also didn't work! I wonder if the smoking wires shorted the glo-relay? It always started 'till last night... Ug

  • That quickstart is bad for your diesel man. Its horrible for the glowplug system, and it really doesnt burn properly.
