@lukeeee009 I think the biggest thing for me was learning to keep time throughout the fills and transitions. I used to always fall behind or speed up in tempo when it went from the verse to the chorus. Once you get the mental metronome, you essentially get free reign of the song :]

That sounded very nice. Im just picking up drumming myself , and so far , I don't quite have the speed to match up to the faster songs. I also have a very modest and mediocre drumset. Do you just play along to what you hear or are there actually music sheets for drumming along to songs? I hope to be able to play decently within a couple of years.
