yea true. i think its cause they got more mainstream. i guess the producers just wanted him to play more simple rhythms and beats. he's an awesome drummer

@hobbzilla007 I definitely noticed. His playing and chops in this performance is fantastic. I am thinking the record company had a lot to say regarding the drums tracks in more recent albums. They probably wanted a more in the pocket feel...even tho his pocket is pretty deep in this performance.
