the people that are sayin this guitar is crap need to learn to play cuz the pickups arent horrible i replaced the pickups and i like mine better than a gibson or epiphone....the only thing you need to do is replace the tuners

These aren't that bad. I just picked one up a couple hours ago, built tough and sounds good for the price. Just upgrade the pickups and you got yourself a nice guitar.

I bought the Les Paul cherry sunburst and I think it is cool. Nice finish, good sound. Come on, what do you expect for !160 delivered? First act guitars at Walmart are $100. My davison Les Paul is a solid built guitar for the money. Why would a beginner need anything more?

cool. but the video is really pointless. The amount of effects that is being used is making it impossible to hear the guitars sustain and tonality.

I bought a bass and a 7 string they both are great instruments and quite cheap i just threw an duncan invader in my 7 string because i prefered that for it otherwise the original sounded sweet too.I'm getting the les paul custom or the doubleneck sg soon.They are realy great for the price people have no idea how cheap they are and are way better than the other korean copies an Jap.Epiphones i bend the neck a bit thing goes out of tune junky guitars had an sg epiphone not neck thru but bolted.

@sikkinixx71 For the price they are well worth it expecialy for beginners.I had a student who baught a 450 dollar sg copy epiphone even when we tightened the crap out of the neck bolts it still moved and the tunning keys were garbage at least these guitars are built tight and only 189 bucks all you need is a new pickup and it rocks I like heavy stuff so even my high grade charvels and such i take out the pickups anyways and put my favorite rewound paf or I buy a seynour duncan invader.

please tell me how to install F.G.I.-S pickup of fernandes guitars international. my guitar has 2 pickups each pickup have 1 red wire, 1 white and 1 silver wire

@144214789 Red is one side white is other side tape together you make double coil with the silver wire as ground most likely or you can add a coil tap and split the phases and even make them single coils.Most humbuckers are red white green and silver ground.Green can be phase or ground in some applications you put a switch beetween that wire and the ground for phase switching.Or just simply hook it together with the ground bare/silv for humbucker and tape the white red together for standard hum.

@144214789 Just put red and white together and the bare is ground to the pot pu the red and white to the left pole and the middle pole should be going to the jack some way or a nother.If there is a tone knob that should already be tied off before it goes they the jack.Usualy all the grounds just go to all the pots in parallel.The third leg should be bent over onto the pot im going left to right .So simply red and white soldered together to left pole jack/Tone should be going to second ground 3.

@korzon hmmmm 3 knobs, 2 pickups, each pickup have 3 wires. and switch has 2 positions...

@144214789 Ok the one up top a volume pot? and the other 2 tone?Of so just put red white together connect it to the left side pole put bare wire ground to the pot you will see all the others tied in ther too.Seems like a lespaul stlye 3 way switch?up is neck middle both bottom bridge so thats 3 way never heard of a two way like a light switch on off.Make sure the middle pole in some way or a nother gets too the Jack by going thru the tone pot left pole then that center one goes to jack.

@RockNsocK1988 Mine sound fine maybe you need to learn to play better because i can make a guitar from the garbage sound great and i litteraly have dumpster dived into the kramer dumpster in neptune NJ. i built plenty of guitars and to tell you the truth epiphones are more garbage than davison.349$ waisted on a brand new epiphone sg it sucked so bad i returned it.I threw a duncan invader in the 7 string its great sounding even the neck is straght and the tremelo bounces it's all good.

@144214789 Doesn't matter what you got i can make it work just hard when it's not in front of me.I can even draw it.Or you can google humbucker wiring diagram and just remember red is one coil white is the other with them hooked together it makes it a double coil then you just ground it with the bare or green together wich is a common hookup.I'm sure a pdf can help better than words.Just let me know what the knobs are and locale.Did you undo the old pickup yet?

still, dude these guitars are usually under 200 bucks. I have one (of course its beefed up past stock) but when you first get them the still play like beasts... But I have a diffirent model than this one.

your better buying an epiphone les paul special II or a sg special. they go for about 140. also, they dont sound at all like epiphones or gibson. this is pretty much knockoff epiphone, and epiphone is knockoff gibson.

@NCBikerBoy I will let you know im getting the custom black beauty just for the looks it's about 189 I doubt the pickups will sound like one but the epi sucks you need to get the neck thru body if you want the thing to have a stationary neck the bolt on ones epi makes .I have a 1986 studio les paul it's pretty good but tunning keys sucked and the newer ones are way lighter and no sustain.I am going to string up my 7 string today and make a vid I left the neck pickup original in.

@NCBikerBoy I want to see what they weigh as well stringing up my 7 string now it went through a fire as well as 8 others the strat diddnt make it it's neck warped but the cheap ass davison looks straight and my mighty might neck on my baretta made it through and my les paul studio is ok.My bass player was always broke I had to buy him equip his guild pilot needed some rebuild I have that now,So i got him one of those 5 string davison with that fat block pickup sounded better than his guild.
