  • Great song about a love that will make you totally desperate if you would loose it and yet Yvonne smiles so sweetly, you never become tired of hearing this melody about being in love and being afraid to loose it. Makes you think about the despair of many young people because of an unanswered love ... let us hope and pray they find a way to heal the broken heart...

  • Ageless, Timeless...

  • I really love this song.

This song makes me sooooooooooo happy.

  • I remember singing this song and other classic love songs when my heart was broken as a kid. Love the late 70's and early 80's love songs. Nothing better.

  • this was WAAAY before autotune!

  • Never realised this was recorded by her for Sat PM Fever... 70's were all good, tho I'd prb be dead from a nasty virus...

  • WAS very pretty; sexy; seductive and great voice too! but she's about 60 years old now. i'd marry her if .........we're back in the 70's

  • "those were the days my friend they say they'd never end.." unfortunately they ended....this was a great song..on SNF soundtrack also

  • Backing singer in the rust coloured dress, is having the time of her life lol

  • Talented and beautiful young lady. If I recall correctly, Yvonne Elliman sang the back-up on Eric Clapton's "I Shot the Sheriff" track back around 1974. I could be wrong but, I believe I'm correct.

Just too beautifull to be forgotten.

  • Beautiful but can somebody please help me get Yvonne's song called: "From the Inside": Like a star in the midnight sky, your love was there to guide me When I was weak, too weak to try, ......

Just too beautifull to be forgotten.

  • Dizer o quê?...

  • good very good \o/

Born in the age wrong ^_^

  • There are plenty of great musicians in all music eras.

Where the heck is the flute? I see the sax and other musicians but not a flautist. I had always hoped they did that part with a real flute vs. a synthesizer.

  • MY MOM WAS IN HER LATE TEENS IN THE LATE 70'S..... SHE WAS ONE LUCKY WOMAN :) HAHA

  • I love it!!!!

  • So true this song....makes me feel sad ;-( but love it!

  • An attractive hapa haole. One of my favorite island girls.

  • I totally love how the orange back up singer dance, she is so....disco!!

  • reminds my on my youth~time....in this time i was 13??? great time...but i'm not older^^ my fav. thing called R & R

    *thx* 4 u*re upload --<--@

  • I remember my father playing the saturday night fever soundtrack at the kitchen table, pulling his rotten teeth out and drinking J & B Whisky

ahh the great childhood memories of the late 1970's

  • Well... gazoontight .... not to disagree with you but the 90s had a few good people. Just a few. Are any of you aware that she (Yvonne Elliman) played the role of Mary Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar (the movie)? And I think she also played the role in the original Broadway show. I was under 8 years of age at the time so I can't confirm that.

  • @AsiEsoEs Absolutely I am aware. I remember seeing the film when it first came out.

  • The best years of my life..!!! Wish I could go back in time.....

  • The most beautiful song ever heard...

  • i have loved this song from the first time i heard a long time ago but never knew who the singer was until 3 years ago when my brother download it onto my ipod with a bunch of other songs

  • This is such a beautiful song. I hope that the music of this new decade goes back to becoming more like this song. This makes me so sad why music isn't like this song so much anymore these days.

  • Brings back memories - those were the days!!! Same passionate voice as at JCSS "I don't know how to love him" - brilliant...

  • what a lady..and what a great song, how she is full of life, whatever i say ,she deserves more..

  • nice song!! like it!

  • ditto

  • awesome

  • Amazing lady and an amazing track, but totally wasted on that audience - have any of them got a pulse?

  • Yvonne is one beautiful woman and has a beautiful voice to go with her looks. I was probably one or two when this came out.

  • I was told by someone of this era that the whole SNF thing was crowding her out and she said "What about me" and this was it..I like it when females perform for another female--even if its only in my mind

  • ccg1171 and i was young during those years... i had the time of my life !

  • Best version thus far....Out standing!

  • Reminds me of my disco nights at the River Club, Los Angeles,Calif.

  • Who is that girl in the derby hat? I want her.

  • yvonne was a member of.. eric clapton's band.. alongside... marcy levy in mid.... 1970's

  • Absolutely love this song......always have. I used to play it on while riding with my top down in my 68 TR-4.

  • She is such a positive person, and I love her voice. She has so much passion in her voice. This is great. Just bring in Donna Summer, Tarvis, Bee Gees, and Earth Wind and Fire and you got a jam

  • @atp1962 Oh yeah!

  • The late 70s & early 80s were the best.. No better time..It makes you wish you could freeze time =)..I would say 75 to 85 were the best

  • Absolutely correct! Late 70s and early 80s were the time to be young. All downhill since then, musically and otherwise.

  • Thanx my friend we know whats good & bad..I hate all the crap today....

  • Me too. Musically I agree for the most part; Wrote a good piece about this subject in Dutch here:

    jult. net/entry/201

  • @thehuhu lol? seriously? tht dude sucked to b honest...he sang it tooooo slow and doesnt rlly fit

  • @thehuhu This is the original version of the song. Tastes change, and you have every right not to like it. But dissing someone you don't know is just pathetic. From this evidence, you have a long way to go before you can justiify looking down on others.

  • @thehuhu For some reason I've never heard his version. I guess the whole world has been listening to the wrong versions for all these decades. Thank you for showing us the right path.

    </irony>

  • @gazoontight agreed, they had MUSIC then, not made for video marketing crap.

  • @gazoontight how about the 60s? the rest of the 70s? :)

  • @gazoontight so true, makes me very sad

  • @gazoontight Funny cause that's how I feel about the mid-90's. I think for the most part you like what you grow up on.

  • @DAPDave You've got a point there!

  • @gazoontight Disagree with your comment there is some good music today

  • @gazoontight ...You're allright all the way!... Thanks...

  • Nice looking girl; a sort of 1970's Mariah Carey. The song has stood the test of time as I must hear it at least once a week on the radio.

  • Good god, this tune was played a lot in my home growing up. One of the best tunes written by the Gibb Brothers from Satrurday Night Fever. A cool number which never gets old for me.

  • Great song.

I grew up listening to this version, but Adam Lambert's version in American Idol is ingenious. To turn this upbeat song to a sad, sad ballad in simply amazing. I give credit to however helped Adam rearrange and alter this song to something different and beautiful.

    The lyrics themselves are sad.

  • She's so pretty, I wonder what nationalitie she is?

  • I believe that she's from Hawaii.

  • She is Irish, Japanese, and Chinese. She was born and raised in Hawaii.

  • Great song and terrific performance. Brings back memories. Still listening to this song when I get a chance.

  • what happened to her?? love this song (=

  • its cool that she looks so happy while shes singin

  • Holy crap how I do love that crooked mouth!!!

  • i like this song

    she's so bangin too!

    Yvonne Elliman= <3

  • reminds og south philly was 15 when song came out , alot of great memories

  • Nice song!! I love it!

  • What red blooded male didn't love Yvonne Elliman? I was only 19 when she recorded this song and it is still one of my favorites to this day. Yvonne Elliman has a beauty that time can never rob.

  • I was only 12 at the time, and I was so in love with her and this song! (Still am ;)

  • This is arguably the best song of 1978, and one of the best of the 70's from a beautiful lady who is a beautiful singer. When I hear it, it just makes me appreciate the 70's, and the music that spawned from that decade, outstanding!!
