actually it's a great exercise to post on you tube and open yourself to comments...tough to take sometimes when people bash you. Here's the deal...IMHO....unoriginal slow and tiresome rhythm dirge. (nearly all new to recording end up with a progression nearly identical to this one when exploring minor scale soloing . ) sloppy transitional leads. But the effort is there man, so for what it's worth, decent effort. Kudos for courage to post. Keep at it! don't get upset at a tough review

i don't see what the point of changing the tuning can do for you mid song - you can just move your hand how ever many frets you need to go to a different key "in less than one second" unless your a folk player and you want some open Dadgad tuning for example

To be Honest I hate all the Flaming of this guitar, I adore it, it has a better finish than any other Les Paul Studio and everyone who is willing to pay 1000+ on a guitar can tune it but this makes it just that much easier, Like who would turn down a self cleaning car, also proof pro's would use this is Jimmy Page, he's used a similar system for years.

I don't post on here much, but I wanted to drop a comment on the robot. I constantly see people bashing the robot because it may stop some people from learning to tune guitars. I say... Who cares?! Who looks at a guitarist and says "Man, that guy can sure tune a guitar!" It's like faulting a racecar driver who doesn't know how to tune his engine. All you need to know is if you're in tune or not, how you get back in tune... who cares, guitars are about music. The robot is awesome, yes I have one.

Also, the robot sounds great too, it's an amazing guitar, even besides the fact that it self-tunes. I'm finding more and more that the people bashing it are either jealous, or simply haven't given it a chance.

I have the Robot also, along with several other guitars. I don't find it making me any lazier or out touch with my ear for tuning. It just means I have some part of new technology that has been added to a really great guitar making it even better.

the Robot certainly incites a lot of controversy and also jealousy too.

It is a working mans Les Paul in my opinion. I own 18 guitars including this one and the altered tunings when live are VERY useful..plus the original Robot as you demonstrate so damn well!! :) has awesome tone.

I think the Robot Guitars serve to somewhat destroy some of the passion that being a musician entails. Sure, it may be more practical and it may be quicker than tuning by ear, but it's an excuse not to learn something. It removes some of the dedication and undermines the challenges that come with trying to master your instrument. That said, it does sound quite good, but then again, it is a Les Paul through Guitar Rig. Good solo as well, very nicely done.

I'm not realy sure. But this was the first one that came out. I think there are only 4000 of them made (all sold out very fast). I there are more collors now, and also in the sg. Studio versions etc. Go search on the gibson site

No, this Blue - White finish is discontinued, but you can get it in - dark blue, red , green , silver/black, purple, and a few other shades, same goes for the robot SG
