It´s unbelieveble that with the force hurricanes Gustave and Ike hit Cuba the lost of human lives is so small(0nly 4 people died so far)comparing the amount of victims left on the other caribean islans such as Haiti. Definately the increadible organization, discipline and excelent evacuation strategies of the cuban Civil Defense has made the difference. in 1980s..we went down there told them their agriculture was being destroyed by topsoil loss. So we planted trees..thousands of trees at US expense. We told them that the trees must grow or the land will wash away.

Next year...all the trees had been hacked down. Same thing with food, agriculture, birth control and AIDS.
