In my honest opinion, 9 was the last great FF. 7 and 8 were good, but not great, mostly because the games were loaded with drama. 10 is when the series really started to go downhill, but that's just one gamer's opinion. Unfortunately, I'm expecting a shitstorm of comments telling me that I'm wrong and whatnot, but I'm hoping that everyone realizes that this is solely my opinion and nothing else and will register that this is not meant to influence any other opinions.

@ThyReaperGrim to be honest I can't stand skyrim, I've never been a big fan of the elder scrolls. Maybe I never gave it enough of a chance. I like a lot of other games but final fantasy is always special and close to me. The older final fantasy games are the best, I just wished the new final fantasy can be turn based as well, the paradigm shift is all good but auto battle is laughable. I wish I could back to when Flare or Firaga's animation look intense not kiddish like in FF13 =/

@OMEGAMIVEGA Actually, I was a fan of Oblivion, but that was because I experienced it without bugs. Skyrim has too many bugs that actually spoil the fun. Plus, Morrowind was surely the best Elder Scroll out there, in terms of storyline and gameplay of course. Maybe flashy graphics are not for me.
The most diverse in terms of gameplay options, was FF II. Not only a masterpiece as a game, but you could also do whatever you wanted with your characters.

I started playing FF8 first but i never got in to the serie till FF10 that was the first FF on PS2 then FFX-2 wich I didnt like, and then came FF12 wich was a great game but when i had curiosaty of the of how the older snes FF game where like I started to play them on an emulator, FF4 and i was like WOW gotta admit that the gameplay is better than FF10, then i whent for FF6 and WOOOOOOOOOOW the story and content makes it look like FF just got real, when i looked back at FF10 I LOLED at it.

@SSF2DevGeno Its bad if you compare, but if you treat it as something different then yeas its good, i dint say good if not great, i finished FF4 in 50 hours, in FF12 i have 272 hours and i have yet to find many things like the ultimate equipment, explore secret plases, find the last esper and kill the strongets monster, etc...
Good FF if you like to explore and do sidequest, FF12 is not linera unlike the others. But its not my best in my top ten, I like FF6 better.

If I was to make my FF top ten list, then it would be like this! 1.FF6 2.FF4 3.FF9 4.FF5 5.FF1 6.FF3 7.FF2 8.FF12 9.FF8 10.FF7 Then I will fill the next 100 spots with blank and put FFX-2 at the end. NOTE that this is my top 10 list for the FF games I know so far, so it can change depending on my mood :D
@OMEGAMIVEGA Roots of the FF series is fine being in the medieval fantasy era but VII was certainly a awesome change up that should be welcomed here and there. You know ...when it's done right. Not that Final Fantasy has been done right in ages. S-E really needs to take a step back and figure things out. I mean look at Tactics, that was a heck of a change up, I certainly think that is one of the top FFs ever created.

@12Necromorph Remember!, FF6 was released as FF3 on the US, so thats the 6th FF you got there, FF1 is a US reap-off and FF4 is FF2, if you whant to play 1,2,3 and 5 then I recomend an emulator like i use, unless you whant to play them on japanese IF you can find them.

Hahaha we all hear you on that also to add on to your comment after FF6 all the FF games have had way to much drama that drags on to much like cloud in FF7, FF6 has drama but it doesn't overstay its wellcome, it has great humour, 14 playable characters, kefka is the only villain who has destroyed and ruled the world for 2 years something that mommas boy sephiroth couldn't do.

@xRocketzFighterx And one more thing, hoo do think has more emotions, kefka or sephiroth? all that sephiroth did was piss cloud off and kill aerith (what a dick) just so that he can get his ass kicked at the end, kefka kicked ass throught the game, I allways look at terra as a very dramatic character, even more dramatic than cloud, but she was younger and controlled to kill innocent people unlike cloud hoo wanted to be a soldier, besides she got over it while cloud didnt.

@OMEGAMIVEGA Roots of the FF series is fine being in the medieval fantasy era but VII was certainly a awesome change up that should be welcomed here and there. You know ...when it's done right. Not that Final Fantasy has been done right in ages. S-E really needs to take a step back and figure things out. I mean look at Tactics, that was a heck of a change up, I certainly think that is one of the top FFs ever created.

@UmbreonUniverse I'd rather play 10-2 than 13 tbh .-. 13 was the worst garbage ever and a complete disgrace to the ff name terrible battle system completely linear storyline so much so you could accurately guess what would happen before it did making it uninteresting and boring only two things good about it were the graphics and the music but both were givens considering its FF and that it was on the ps3/360

when prompted, highlight Blitz and press X once. Then, at a normal pace, press left, right, left on the D-pad, followed by X. You will know if it's worked because the move appears at the top of the screen when Sabin walks forward, glows and sticks his arms in the air!

From back when I played FFVII as a kid, through my discovery of oldschool games via emulators, RPGs were never popular. They were "boring". Whereas to me, some of them had profound moral lessons, and greatly inspired my imagination. Perception is everything...

@12Necromorph Remember!, FF6 was released as FF3 on the US, so thats the 6th FF you got there, FF1 is a US reap-off and FF4 is FF2, if you whant to play 1,2,3 and 5 then I recomend an emulator like i use, unless you whant to play them on japanese IF you can find them.
