If your jaw is painful and ur dentist thinks it will help you get the braces. If it really doesnt bother you and your happy with you teeth dont get em. Its your call. Now adays a lot of people who are getting braces dont need them. At my orthodontist I have heard Moms asking my orthodontist to please put braces on their kid because even though the child doesnt need em they want them because all their friends have em. Its mostly girls I was told. Ethically he will not do it but a lot do for the $

You needn't be scared of braces, they don't hurt (at least much), maybe your beauty could be damaged a bit for a while but it is worth in the end. I know very well I don't have profile photo, I'm old and ugly but I have fun at it. I had braces myself for about seven years but only removable ones. Hope to see you soon again.
