Sigourney Weaver is disgustingly under-rated. Every time I see her in a movie, I get completely spellbound. She is up there with Meryl Streep and Glenn Close as one of the most talented and versatile actresses of the modern era.

Very beautiful movie and throughout the movie there is a sort of tragic feeling. Sigourney is splendid as Dian Fossey. She lived her character. Absolutely nothing can be said against this movie. The slaughter of Digit, the Silverback was very painful and heartbreaking

I LAUGHED so much while watching this! :) It's my favorite movie. When that stupid fucking Digit died and it hilariously and idiotically screamed in pain after being speared, I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF. And then they found it propped up against a tree in a sitting position, with its MOTHERFUCKING HEAD AND HANDS HACKED OFF! GOD that was knee-slapping. And then when Fossy was crying "THey took his hands...they took his head...THEY TOOK HIS *HEAD!*", that was even more hysterical!

Don't believe his last comment. He was found on Easter Sunday dead in his kitchen...he had stood on a chair, tied a rope attached to the ceiling around his neck, and kicked out the chair from underneath his feet. I knew him and thus heard the news from his sister (who I'm friends with), and he was just buried today.
While my thoughts go out to his family, I frankly can't say I'm torn up about his death and am glad he won't be able to bother people anymore.
