  • She made peace with the niggers...

  • One of My Favorite Movies for All the Times...

    Thank You For Uploading...

  • I could do with watching this again some time soon. Sigourney and the director did a marvellous job making the film on location alongside real gorillas :) No amount of CGI can ever match that kind of authenticity

  • Fantastic movie

  • Wow... just wow. At least they could have TRIED to make them look more realistic.

Thank God for the realism of CGI.

  • gorillas in the mist know, when i'm in the congo bring your dildo.

  • what rate is this

  • degoutant

  • I m a Greek Lover and I do exist

and I hunt γκομενάκια like gorillas in the mist

  • i envy gorillas, i mean who is really the happy species here on this god given earth, us with our materialistic economic view of chasing the rich and powerful, or those who take life in their stride, just being here on this planet, work, money, die. i some how doubt all we are.

  • I wonder what kind of xenomorphs would spawn from gorillas...

  • I like trains... WOoooshh

  • why the fuck am I here? I was looking for music by Ice Cube.

  • Fucking love Sigourney Weaver. Fucking love Gorillas. Fucking epic movie of Apocalyptic proportions.

Super over exaggeration but this movie is still amazing.

  • bloody murderers

  • Dian Fossey ... a true Hero.

  • Dian Fossey is my inspiration. I admire her a lot. God bless you!

  • i hate the people that go out and hunt and kill living things just for fun!!!! what if somebody decided go out with a gun and kill ur kid or ur mom or ur dad.Somebody you loved. That wouldn't be legal!!! Why should it be legal for people to kill animals for anything but there meat?

  • December 16th 1966 is the day BEFORE my mom was born! :D

  • Sigourney Weaver is the real talent of the movie industry and a true and beautiful person

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the lady this movie was based on? And didn't she eventually get killed by the gorillas?

  • @rodentcafeteria The name of the lady is Diane Fossey, and no, she was not killed by the gorillas. She was murdered by a person. Someone broke into her mountain cabin and split her skull with a machete. They never found out who did it.

  • @Diversity618 Thanks very much.

  • @Diversity618 is the murder in the movie?

  • @Diversity618 -- She got killed by the hairless gorillas that Liberals insist on calling "human" no doubt. Who else hunts Whites with machetes in Africa?

  • @jshorva65 why are you using liberal as a slur? In the dictionary liberal is defined as "a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties." Why do conservative Republicans think that's bad? Furthermore, you're showing your racism by calling black people "gorillas."

  • @musicaltheatergeek79 " liberal is defined as 'a person who favors ... progress and reform and ... civil liberties.'" In practice, however, Liberals' idea of "progress and reform" is the replacement of the concept of Inalienable Rights with one of arbitrarily-defined and State-granted privileges called "civil liberties" and of permitting the State to conveniently usurp the power to re-define, suspend, revoke, or ignore "civil liberties" at its whim. In practice, modern Liberalism = neo-Marxism.

  • @musicaltheatergeek79 -- Actually, comparing the behavior of certain members of "The African-American Community" to that of gorillas is highly insulting to and racist against gorillas. LOL "Racist" is just another Left-wing smear term. By contrast, a Racialist believes that each Race has an Inalienable Right and a Responsibility to seek its own Racial best interests. That's what I am, a Racialist; and that's "Mister Racialist" to you, to paraphrase a memorable line from some forgettable film.

  • @Diversity618 didnt she get killed by poachers...

  • This movie used to get abused a lot in many different ways by racists and careless pricks.

  • I can't believe I've never heard of this movie...I must watch it!!!!!!

  • Sometimes it takes a woman to do a man's job. How embarrassing for the world's macho military men. To let this happen. And it continues as I type. Humans suck. Good to know that soon they will be as extinct as all the animals they allowed to be tortured and exterminated.

  • Can anyone post the whole movie on Y.T.,or are they butts about it ? Can't find on dvd/blue ray.

  • Fuck Dian Fossey! Thousands of Batwa kicked off their fucking homeland by the Rwandan government because of this bitch. To this day, the Batwa are left begging in the streets because fuckers like this thought a couple hundred fucking apes was more important than thousands of human lives!

On a more somber note, this movie was filmed on location in Rwanda in 1988. Think about that for a minute.

  • @RandomUser132 creep

  • @RandomUser132 The Africans caught AIDS and the Ebola virus from eating monkey meat. Then they spread it throughout the world. Africans need to be extincted, just like the whale-killing, dolphin-slaughtering, mercury-crazed Japs and the kosher Jews, who torture animals cos their psycho God tells them to. And they have Tay Sachs for instant karma. Yes, a couple hundred apes are worth more than all the humans in the universe. Sooner than later, humans will find out just how expendable they are.

  • @etbella3 who tortures animals?

  • @etbella3 So you want whole groups of humans to be wiped out, yet you seem to want to protect other species of animals? Life is life. Humans are just another species of life on this earth. We should all be treated and valued as equals. I know that humans have overstepped their boundaries, but we can still be taught. (For the record, I'm one of those "crazed Japs", and I would never think of killing a whale or dolphin. Most of us wouldn't.)

  • Weaver looks a hell of a lot like Lara Croft here...??? Nikolai is confused.

Random line:Hey, to get through that forest, Weaver, don't fuck around in a jeep, get a flamethrower like everyone else for Christ's sake!

  • Could somebody explain what happens in the movie? I've never watched it but I'm intrested in what happens.

  • @naedanger123

(spoilers, even though it's based on actual events)

This is a true story about Dian Fossey and her attempts to protect the dwindling mountain gorilla population from poaching. Even as more and more of her beloved gorilla friends die (including her favorite, Digit), she doesn't give up. Ultimately, she is mysteriously murdered in her sleep by someone using a machete. But even though she died, her efforts went a long way in protecting the mountain gorillas.

  • @naedanger123 In short, she tries to save the gorillas, and is murdered for it.

  • @HUSKY57887 More likely, she was murdered for kidnapping and torturing Batwa.

  • Think San Andreas, think San Andreas...

  • This was a good film but not as good as the second one they made called monkeys in the fog

  • @KevinTheGremlin lol'd

  • @Locketii Thanks :) Well I think Im funny

  • ho pianto quando ho visto questo film

  • I had the privilege and honour of seeing this movie with a close friend of Dianne Fossey - who corrected all the Hollywood embellishment and distortions of most things pertaining to Africa ... again and again ...

  • Nice movie.

  • lol

  • hahaha lol

Sigourney Weaver is amazing. such a wonderous actress

  • the theme for the movie should be lynch mob

  • in 1:43 she looks like Evangeline Lilly... only hotter... I love Sigourney Weaver! You were robbed that Academy Award for that role!!!

  • I cried in this movie...and im a 26 year old male

  • @Scabia25 it´s a fantastic movie, don´t worry about it ;))

  • this is a awesome movie xD

  • Awesome film, awesome actress... i love Sigurney weawer

  • A very beautiful woman who had a tragic end those people responsible will pay for it karma will kick them in the ass of course that is my opinion.

  • A great actress and a very distinguished woman :)

  • I'll always go APE for you, Sigourney !

You know I'll always be your APEMAN !

  • she really lived with gorillas learning their language, she deserved the Oscar for best actress ever!! she really risked her life shooting this film, hollywood dont appreciate real life? and the Oscar goes to.. fiction and useless movies

  • I Love this movie it is so touching and sad but still fantastic

  • It is an fantastic movie

  • any one know a link to that movie?? i really wanna watch it

  • Sigourney should have won the Oscar for this movie.

  • @Tiberius101 is a good story not a good movie or actress

  • @travies0x I beg to differ. It was great, and Sigorney Weaver was nominated for best actress.

  • @Tiberius101 Her performance in this was good, but Jodi Foster's in "the Accused" was better.

  • @Tiberius101 It's a hard one to call. Jodie Foster won for The Accused and Glenn Close was also nominated for Dangerous Liaisons. I think all three deserved to win. 1989 was a great year. Better than this year's Oscar contenders for best actress.

  • @Tiberius101 , not only Sigurney, but even Michael Apted. ,director of this film..

The actors say and do what film director says them to say or do

  • Gorillas live in tropical or subtropical forests. Although their range covers a small percentage of Africa, gorillas cover a wide range of elevations. The Mountain Gorilla inhabits the Albertine Rift montane cloud forests of the Virunga Volcanoes, ranging in altitude from 2,200-4,300 metres (7,200-14,000 ft). Lowland Gorillas live in dense forests and lowland swamps and marshes as low as sea level.

  • Gorillas are the largest of the living primates. They are ground-dwelling and predominantly herbivorous. They inhabit the forests of central Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2008) either four or five subspecies. The DNA of gorillas is 98%-99% identical to that of a human, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species.

  • so sad when they cut off digits head, hands, and feet =,{

  • im horny for beaver...gimme a call SIGOURNEY WEAVER

  • Poor gorillas.

  • Sigourney Weaver is disgustingly under-rated. Every time I see her in a movie, I get completely spellbound. She is up there with Meryl Streep and Glenn Close as one of the most talented and versatile actresses of the modern era.

  • Agreed, but Glenn Close is in a category all by herself...

  • @AtLastOnTheGround yes she is. i totally agree with you. the first time i saw her was in the movie tadpole. she has this kind of thing over her that pulls my eyes to the screen.

  • @gallieman

I'm dying to see her perform live onstage. She has a sort of presence that I feel would captivate the audience -- Something that so many stage actors lack.

  • @AtLastOnTheGround Well unfortunately Sigourney Weaver is flat chested, and doesn't have a face made for pornography, and in the Hollywood eye, those two elements are far more important than actual talent. That is why Megan Fox is more popular. *spits on ground*

  • @AtLastOnTheGround sigourney weaver was also the star of the whole Alien quadrility, a tough chick who maybe hollywood did'nt see her as the pretty Meryl streep type so they gave her the ''tough woman roles'', sigourney is an amazing actor tough chick actor though

  • @AtLastOnTheGround And then Avatar happened.

  • @AtLastOnTheGround Dian Fossey is an old soul for sure. She has been here before and I know she is with me as we type. Heil Dian Fossey! Fossil, my ass. The FBI TV show Numbers was a tribute to Digit, Dian's beloved gorilla who was murdered by the barbaric Africans. And then AIDS started wiping out the Africans. As John Lennon sings, Instant Karma.

  • @etbella3 Yes, gorilla-slaughtering Africans, there are Gorilla Whisperers.

  • @AtLastOnTheGround

i totally agree, people I know just think of her as the chick from ghostbusters and aliens

  • @AtLastOnTheGround

i guess you didnt see avatar

  • a great movie...

  • people make me sick

  • great movie

  • it is official: I LOVE SIGOURNEY WEAVER

  • Comment removed

  • a great movie and very sad would love to see it all

  • a very sad yet good movie

  • esa pelicula fue hecha cuando yo naci, dios la beo ho en dia y lloro es tan hermosa esa pelicula.

  • One of the best movies ever made

  • At the end she should off taken out her pulse rifle and killed the poachers. LOL

  • my wife laughed, thanks a lot. lol

  • Very beautiful movie and throughout the movie there is a sort of tragic feeling. Sigourney is splendid as Dian Fossey. She lived her character. Absolutely nothing can be said against this movie. The slaughter of Digit, the Silverback was very painful and heartbreaking

  • BASED ON A TRUE STORY

  • that's what Rodney King said, those fucks @ wmg didn't tell you that though, did they?

  • whirlpool of silence

  • LV426

    whirlpool of silence

  • ...TO ALL THE STUPID PEOPLE WHO WRITE STUPID ATTENTION GRIEVING COMMENTS ....WRITE WHATEVER YOU LIKE...THE FACT REMAINS...DIAN FOSSEY WILL BE FOREVER REMEMBERD BY ALL OF MANKIND..YOU WILL NOT. NOT EVEN BY 3 PEOPLE...SO CONTINUE WRITING CRAP AGAINST HER..YOU ARE ONLY PROVING THAT YOU ARE LIVING A SAD AND EMPTY LIFE WITH NO PURPOSE OR CAUSE...(what you are doing is throwing eggs to break a wall) got it? i hope so....

  • I cried so much while watching this! ;(

    Amazing scenery.

    Amazing story.

    Amazing Sigourney!!!

    Love this movie.

  • oh it's you again.

don't you have anything better to do than post hateful comments about monkeys?

every time you do this, i'm going to prove you wrong, everyone thinks you're sick, no one should take pleasure in the death of an animal...

  • this is a great movie but the end is scary

  • My God what a bunch of frustrated assholes with sick minds. Do you enjoy showing your stupidity and your totl lack of education? You must be an ape from the lowest class yourself.

Have a nice day and I will meet you in the Zoo!

  • Sigourney deserved to win Oscar for this role. She was brilliant in this movie

  • Gyeah homie, she was great.

  • Man why do the gorillas in High Point SUCK? The Grove Street Gorillaz wear RED AS RED AS SATAN's ASS and DO DRIVE-BYS on my homies, the Grape Street Yorky Families! Swangin' from the trees and throwin' grenades, tryin' to blow up my homies and our lowriders! HELP ME SPIDER-HOMIE!!!!!!! But the gorillas that Dian Fossey worked with and those in the wild deserve to be commended and need to be left alone by poachers. But the Grove Street Gorillas in High Point SUCK!

  • Hey what's the big deal, yo? You and DigitIsBurningInHell deserve to be in a Drive-By - why on earth do ya'all hate gorillas so much, yo? I ranted about the Grove Street Gorillas but they tried to blow me and my homies up! What on earth did these wild gorillas do to anyone, other than protect their homies? You and your monkey hatin' homies are a buncha BUSTAS! Gyeah!

  • Well that was intellegent of you to say that. So why exactly are you PMS'ing about a woman studying gorillas? Quit your bitching, you wouldn't have even known about this until you watched this video.

  • Dude the spirit knows no color either your a hater or a lover. It's all attention and it makes you feel special! Well happy special day to you!

  • wow thank god no one needs you on this earth anymore anyways

  • Don't believe his last comment. He was found on Easter Sunday dead in his kitchen...he had stood on a chair, tied a rope attached to the ceiling around his neck, and kicked out the chair from underneath his feet. I knew him and thus heard the news from his sister (who I'm friends with), and he was just buried today.

While my thoughts go out to his family, I frankly can't say I'm torn up about his death and am glad he won't be able to bother people anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • It was his sister.

  • DigitIsBurningInHell u r so freaking sick about wat u said about ur sister u should be ashamed about urself u sick pervert!!!

  • Amazing movie. Sigourney was brilliant here

  • why do u hate gorrilas?

  • right obv thats bollocks, get to grips with life you stupid little 8 year old, gorrilas are nice and wonderful creatures, they are very similar to us (and sometimes with more sence), so stop being a nobjocky to animals that have done nothing wrong to you!

  • BAHAHA my ass you are...retard go die

  • o.o ur sick about wat u said that ur sister died in a zoo by gorillas y would u say she had the best cunt and was fun in bed? etf is wrong with u?

  • I used to be a member of the little "monky haters club" but left when I got it through my thick skull just how much of an ass I was being. Anyway, I have the best way to stop DigitIsBurningInHell: Ignore him.

From my experience everyone in the group was out for attention, and DIBIH can't be any different, so replying to him is exactly what he wants. If we all just ignore him and don't reply to his idiocy (tempting as it may be), chances are he'll just get bored and throw in the towel.

  • And not too long after I left the group, I donated quite a bit of money to Dian Fossey's Gorilla Fund. It was partially to "redeem" myself in a way, but mainly because I wanted to help the gorilla trackers any way I could.

  • This movie is a great tribute to a woman who tried to make this world a better place. I wrote a song called, "Mother Earth" by Vince Ravon. It is on youtube. Search for it. It is dedicated to Dian Fossey. Thank Dian for caring and teaching us to care, It is for her and you. My very best wishes, Vince Ravon.
