What's funny is the two on the right are more or less playfighting. The one on the left keeps seeing the middle one's tale moving from excitement, thus going after it and the middle cat thinks that it's being re-engaged in the fight. As much as the cats are just playing, the scenario could cause it to escalate a bit too much.
Lol, the one on the left is biting the one in the middle's tail, so the one in the middle is taking it out on the one to the right (cuz I dont think it knows its actually the one on the left), so the one on the right is just fighting back. Lolz, kittens :)
general rule of thumb iwth any pet: the louder they are while playing the less serious the fight is. animals, when in a real fight, will rarely expend exess energy on yelling, usually they've already done that in the pre fight posturing. (always bugs me when overly sensitive "animal lovers" get all worried)
@iamcondescending I dont see this behavior with my cats when they play. A few times Ive heard one yell this hard, when I separated them, the cat that yelled, had a big patch of hair torn off, so the yelling is pain. Now on the serious scale, yeah it wasnt if you think of animal kingdom, because serious would mean very serious injuries. So yes not as serious but pain non the less.
@samuils - unless you also have Savannahs, your comparison is totally invalid.
And, it seems if you were adept at reading "body language", you would have recognized when your cats were actually fighting (your household does not appear to be harmonious) and gotten them sorted out.
These kittens are playing, their bodies are relaxed (duh). Savannahs, Bengals, etc. just happen to be the "drama queens" of the cat world. Everything they do is magnified, enlarged and "in your face".
But, really...unless you own Savannah (or Bengal) cats, or have spent some time around them, you won't know what "drama queens" they are. They are SUCH "divas". Like these here. All that "theater", yet, the one doing the screaming is the one who is biting the other one. Meanwhile no one's even trying to get their butt out of the chair and leave. Don't you see that? :D
Here's more drama, and no one is even touching her: /watch?v=8bCIphhnoHU
@nameofthepen Are Bengals and Savannahs considerably more destructive than regular cats? I saw both Savannahs and Bengals at a TICA cat show, and loved the look (especially Bengals as late gen. Savannahs seemed less striking), and it took all of my resolve not to get one then and there. I stopped myself because I just can't bring an active kitten to my 12-year old lazy DSH, it'll make her miserable. But in future... I read about their personality, but was curious about first hand info.
@jewelmarkess - I'm impressed with your sensitive perception that your senior-citizen kitteh doesn't want a rowdy kitten to raise. ;-))
Hybrids need plenty of toys, exercise and attention to channel their huge energy and zest for life. Give them that while gently enforcing borders, and you should be fine. Also, for best pet personality, I would only choose a breeder who raises the kits in a home: /watch?v=RdWhpwAg0Tg
@nameofthepen Thank you. I love my cat, she is also the cat my late mother loved a lot, so she is extra special to me, I don't want to stress her out. But in future - who knows. Great link, thanks - wow, they are fast like wind. BTW - I also love broadsurf's vibes and videos. You are right about the breeders that raise kits in a home. These are gorgeous cats.
@iamcondescending they are not "animal lovers". They are not stupid, they can tell nobody's being hurt. They are just assholes who are looking for excuses to pick on somebody online.
@bluemystic7502 i have owned several cats as well as multiple dogs and i can tell you from experience they do this mayby you should stop trolling asshole.
@bluemystic7502 oh and posting vids of yourself smoking weed is so much better right? I don't post vids cuz I'm not a dumb ass like you I realise my life isn't fascinating enough to require video documentation.
so stop fucking talking to me you fucking lowlife pothead troll and get a fucking life. Oh and I'm obviously not wrong as mine is the most "liked" comment. asshat.
@bluemystic7502 fucking troll...I'm done with this convo go ahead and continue ragging me I'm just going to delete all notifications from this video from now on.
@appledanish4 The amount of noise generated is awesome. There is one, an F2, who is being nibbled by Focus and F1 Savannah kitten. Focus is bigger and an alpha male type. But the F2 loves it. He or she is just noisy.
@echafaud Yes, second fillial (2nd generation from the wild). The larger one is a F1 Savannah kitten called "Focus". The other two are F2 Savannah kittens.
I mean left
