And there is something else if a turtle gets killed you can rescue it somewhere in the stage you have to look hard if i remember it was tied up somewhere on a hidden spot but this can be done only with 1 turtle not more if another dies it's out of the game for good!!! I remember lots of stuff that game i liked very much!!!

By the way i remember that back when i was little i passed this stage without the getting out of the van bug i simply got a lot of missiles and blew up the enemy vehicles sure it was harder but anyway i made it without losing a turtle sure i failed a few times but i pulled it off in the end :) !!! What can i say one of the coolest nes game and Batman too you know where the last boss is the Joker it's kinda similar!

i have this on wii since my nes went missing yrs ago.......i could never get far.....but if i had a favorite part of this game....it'd be after the bombs. u go back to the layer, splinters missing, the place is wrecked, and shredder leaves a mssg on the tv saying he has splinter, and telling the turtles to face him....the music was also friggin awsome when that happened....i could watch that part of the game all day

The furthest I ever got in this game when I used to play it was right after Shredder said they have got Splinter and to get him back, we must defeat the foot clan. I managed to get into the Turtle Van, but I never knew how to get rockets to get past the first blockade. So, that's as far as I remember playing it. That said, most of this part and the next parts are new to me.

It is possible to jump up there from the floor, but the angle you have to hit is so precise it's insane. I'm not so sure it ain't a glitch honestly. I always seem to be able to do it with Mikey and nobody else.

For fake sick, I remember first time playing didn't know that you should collect these rockets for car to destroy the walls.

Thought this is just some bonus for fun.

Wasted these rockets millions times before understood it.

Why the fuck these rockets can be used everythere, not just to open fucking walls?

I actually beat this game when I was a kid. Very disappointing. Shredder gave me no challenge. There was a weapon you could get on the final level that would destroy Shredder in 2 shots. Garbage.

@uniball2 Leo is second best as he has a fairly decent range. Leo and Raph are good as cannon fodder, lol. Best to use them in areas that you know you're going to take damage. I used to use them to collect the more powerful weapons, that way, if you lose a turtle, the rest are a bit more balanced and not totally useless.

I think I got here once! For some reason when I was little I could never get through the Hudson River level. I always got swallowed by the pink seaweed and more times than not I couldnt difuse all the bombs in time.

Maybe is the easiest boss but the level is a pain of the ass... I was lucky for keep Leonardo but I had almost zero energy with Leo and Don... Also I didn't know the technique for kill Shredder so he got me... Stop using savestates and try to beat the game without cheats before talk...

I just could reach Shredder ONCE in all my life!! Was a lot of hard work using each turtle in a wise way... I even got keep Leonardo for the final battle with Shredder but he kicked my ass... Now I use save states for beat the game, save the ending and forget this hard game...

Yes he is. However, in the arcade game for this system he is second only to Raphael(yes you heard me, Raphael). The only reason for that is because his special attacks dont flow together nearly as well as the others while Raph's flow perfectly. It was actually with Rapheal that I achieved my first ever no-game over run.

I always used to collect the scrolls as much as possible for 3 ninja turtles and then go onwards using the remaining ninja turtle because if I accidentally caught some other weapon than a scroll, I would lose all the scrolls and that sucks. It takes hell of a time collecting them. The laser robots are easy to destroy with scrolls in the technodrome stage.

At 8:07 if u get caught in the seaweed in Level 1 when yr searching 4 the bombs and u loose a turtle it will say Leonardo/Raphael/Michaelangell­o/Donatello got caught who fights next. If u enter this building there are no enemies but u can find the missing turtle who was caught in the seaweed and retrieve him bak. Try it out. Some of u may know this so u know that its true.

Actually, yes I have. I grew up with these nes games. To be honest, they were pretty easy back then. My brother could always land and refuel on TopGun and I've beaten this game a few times. It's just trial and error. The more times you mess up, the smarter you are for the next time around.

I fail to see the point of making an MK comment. Though you're probably right. MK is so full of moder-characters such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion, or Noob Saibot that it's not worth the challenge.

Think of it as... challenging your real expertise. I sincerely believe that today's gamers are spoiled by controls and graphics.

The player here (laffer) shows how the game is really easy once you understand it. Patience, trial, and error... something that doesn't exist in games like MK. (Though I admit, I really enjoy MK's graphics.)

Tip: In the area at about 8:25, any turtles that were previously killed are tied to the column on the platform. You can get them back (kinda like extra lives)
