I haven't played since release, however. I personally don't recommend the game. It's not very deep and, though they may have fixed this, the later content felt really unpolished.
You can spend 5 advantage points on each power. Every power has a rank 2 and 3 version you can upgrade to, which costs 2 advantage points each. Ranking up usually increases the damage and other effects (i.e. making a hold last longer). Usually there's a secondary advantage that adds a special effect. For example, my Sonic Arrow can be upgraded to do AoE damage.
You get a new power every 3 levels starting at 5. So you get 14 powers total. In between those 3 levels you get points to upgrade your powers. For the first 21 levels, you also get points to upgrade stats.
does each power get more expensive the better it gets like rank1 1point / rank 2 2 points / rank 3 3 points etc?
and if anyones gotten high enough how many powers do u get to max if u were to stick to a few powers as in at max lv u got enough points to max 6 powers or 8 powers etc?
It looked pretty cool. Except so easy :S Menton wasn't he supposed to be not just a villain, but a super villian. And he died in 3 shots :/ Somethings wrong there.

This has been my favourite mission so far. The NPC's voice makes it feel sort of like a movie :-p

Eh, actually Empathic Healing is a channeled healing...dunno what TK Healing is. I assume he means Psionic Healing is a charged heal.
Just to prove it to you...the power I used to heal the NPCs was Empathic Healing, so obviously it's not a self only heal.
It seems they have semi-fixed the bug. The healing NPC will heal them correctly now, but it takes him forever.

oh and does every power rank just do more dmg or do they add effects like adding a burn effect to power armor beams or something

im guessing u get em per lv but how many points do u get per lv to get new abilities or upgrade existing ones?
coz ur arrow shot seems to pretty much 1shot them

I think his henchmen are what makes him a hard boss. But because he drew him out he was easier.
