Cowon S9 Screen Durability Test

PS, I still have my Cowon that I bought in 09 and it's still holding up very well. I've dropped it and it went skidding across the floor, keep it in the pocket with my keys and it's still in good shape. I have a small scratch on it but it's nothing major.

My s9 got scratched in my pocket with my keys, they are barely visible scratches and honestly Im not sure I couldnt polish them away really easily but needless to say, I believed this video and proved it wrong.

just so you all know, you absolutely CAN scratch this glass. I lost mine for like a month and then one day my mom found it in her purse. The face had a whole line of scratches. I don't know what it was that did it, but something in her purse scratched the hell out of it. But I wouldnt worry about it if you just put it in your pocket with nothing else.

Drilling produces heat, the heat would cause it to become damaged if the drill itself doesn't go through. I would like to see sandpaper.  that's something that is more likely to scratch it. I don't think anyone would take a drill to their s9 unless it was intentional, but something like sandpaper is reasonable. If it slides across the street or something.

Don't. I actually (hesitantly) did some of these tests too: keys, a box cutter, and my high carbon steel survival blade. It's a quality screen.

I think you should for safety's sake anyway AND fingerprints, because I really don't think it's resistant to that.

The back isn't that prone from scratches though...It's rare to get any, but the serial number and the printed things on the back fade away...

probably wont hold. Generally, as you ascend in hardness, you ascend in brittleness, so that if a smaller and smaller shock is necessary to disintégrate the screen.
