Ending the blockade would be a dangerous mistake for Israel. It would allow the terrorist group Hamas access to unlimited weapons. If any country is really interested in bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza they will go through the official channels and dock their ships in Ashdod so the cargo can be inspected first. Ending the blockade would be a dangerous mistake for Israel. It would allow the terrorist group Hamas access to unlimited weapons. If any country is really interested in bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza they will go through the official channels and dock their ships in Ashdod so the cargo can be inspected first. Doing otherwise is a political agenda and not a humanitarian one.

@TheVegasPatriot Sadly for you and other Israeli apologist there was live video feed onboard the attacked ship as it was being attacked. Israel attempted to jam all signals of the raid but was unable to do so. The ship was fired on by the IDF prior to boarding and the commandos were shooting into the crowd before they landed. The people on the ship were defending themselves with whatever was at hand they had no real weapons.

@ninah1 Hamas was born out of Israel's inability to reach a peace agreement. Hamas hasn't existed for very long. Israel had the opportunity to abide by international law and follow the two state solution. Instead they stole territory for settlers and continue to colonize land that does not belong to Israel by international law. The Goldstone Report to the UN is very telling of the IDF mentality and mission.

In fact, virtually all of the items on board the ships are banned by the Israeli government as "security risks" – including crayons, pencils, medical equipment and building materials. Israel bans way more than just weapons. Also banned are car parts, wood, coal, water purification equipment, and chocolate.
