alright u have the american version that has the 2.4l 4cylinder 4g64 engine.. and there is no such things as a v4 and if u wanna tune ur car n learn all about it get on the galant center

what before you says theres no v4 there is not many and its a custom engine but its kinda neat but a normal yes they only have 4 cylinders and the 2.4L version im pretty sure is the v6 because i have a 2000 galant and its the v6 edition

2.4 (4G64) is the american 4 cyl engine found in the galant and in other countries its a 2.0 v6 (6A12) and some are twin turbo awd (VR4).. i think other models were either a 2.0 or 1.8 sohc engine as well and both of those are 4 cyl as well.. and ur V6 galant btw is a 3.0l 6G72 motor the 4 cyl are reversed 4G64s.. i hope u take care of that car just learn about it first b4 u talk out ur ass

no im looking at the engine now 2.4 liter v6 its the es edition i just got the car not to long ago but its what i said it was ill take pictures and you can look at them if you want

My car is a 2.0 V6. Don't know about yours. Atleast in Finland 2.0 4cylinder engines has only got 130-ish hp.

that was weak my 96 sebring has the mitsu 2.5 v6 24v and it performs way better then this floored and the mitsu 3.0 v6 is tough too.

with a new transmission and a modified intake and exaust i get about 195 to the front wheels which isn't bad when i put it on the dyno before the mods it was 171hp. very good engine i dont know why ppl say there crap. i think its cuz they beat on em and they break down.
