I read in the 40th anniversary book of Sesame Street that this scene is the first one Steve Whitmire filmed voicing Ernie. Bert's so funny when he gets mad!

I think Frank Oz did Bert. He's still alive but he hasn't been voicing Muppets since 2004 or earlier. He's still involved with the Henson company though.

Steve Whitmire is the voice of ernie and kermit since Jim passed away and has been for almost 20 yrs. Frank Oz, the original performer, is doing bert here and he sounds the same to me as he has over the past 30 yrs

I would like to go fishing with Bert & Ernie too. However, I would picture them fishing with me and my family in my head (along with some of the other Muppets that are my favorites and of which I like) on our fishing trips.

According to Bert & Ernie, I would sometimes switch fishing positions after every now and then when I feel there's better luck on the other side and sometimes I plan on taking a little break from fishing and plan to watch my parents or whoever is fishing with me. I wish I knew why the heck Bert caught a note instead of some fish, and therefore why didn't the fish bite on his lure in the water rather than continuously biting on Ernie's lure?

Maybe the fish liked Ernie's lure better than Bert's even though Ernie took the bait off his hook at 1:43. Then since the fish didn't see Ernie's lure in the water after he stopped fishing, the fish decided to swim away but, before swimming away, one fish wrote the note to wonder why Ernie didn't put his lure in the water anymore.

I know in one skit, Ernie and Bert were calling fish to jump in the boat, and Ernie called the good ones but, Bert called a shark which made him faint.

Oh come on guys, this one is still hilarious. They aren't remaking the old one, they are just making a new one. As an ultimate old school B&E fan I can say that they are still making good skits, but Bert is just not as grouchy as he was before. Ernie still tortures Bert. Its all good.

That's a good point. I know in one skit where Ernie and Bert were fishing by calling fish to jump in the boat, Ernie called all the good fish but, Bert called a shark, where the shark jumped into the boat, scared Bert and laughed like Ernie and then Bert fainted.

Maybe that shark didn't like Bert either which scared him on purpose but, the shark liked Ernie which is why it laughed like Ernie.
