@KellyMarysexoxo No, dude, James actually has a pretty good voice, way better than Darcy's, her voice is the worst from the original band, its ridiculous. On all those live versions of every song, I would have rather James use his falsetto than Darcy's terrible tone and sound. A Night Like this is actually pretty good, and is vocally pretty impressive. He hits a c sharp there, which is way lower than Billy and most men can sing.

adore was a failure for the pumpkins! billy said so himself, sure it went platinum (barely) but look at how many of those sales were right after its release? meaning it went platinum very quickly based on how good mellon collie and siamease dream were, because people just ran out and bought adore straight away because it was the pumpkins (worlds biggest band at the time) then after a few singles all the casual fans realised it was crap and it stopped selling!! thats why it was a failure.

I can't think of album that was so ambitious musically at the moment. the problem with adore was that it was released 10 years too soon. in 2008 that would be called a master piece, I'm sure. just the world in 90' wasn't ready for something like Adore. this album was just too much ahead of his times to be initially loved. I think it contains the best pumpkins arrangements to date.

without Adore such a masterpiece like Machina couldn't have happened.

I would hate to see the original lineup together again, the bad blood would mess up energy, stage presence, and music. I think James Iha should become a solo artist. Also Billy wrote all of the lyrics and most of the music to "Mayonnaise" and "Soma," all James contributed was the intro and outro "Mayonnaise" and "Soma."

This came off of Pisces Iscariot in 1994. I grew up with the Pumpkins, and i'm afraid to listen to the new album because I think i'll lose all the respect I've had for them. Billy is more poppy and Iha came out solo and I think he's still in A Perfect Circle. It might take a miracle to bring my lost love D'arcy back, but I still have hope.

Auf Der Maur is a great replacement for D'arcy. Ever heard her solo work? She totally rocks. Billy is not more "poppy". Why would you say that? Because he used electronic drums? TheFutureEmbrace felt more like a continuation of his exploration into the unknown. No matter how far his space ship takes him, he'll still be rock your socks off.
