Ah my absolute fav brand new modern day truck, the cascadia could be better but everything else pales in comparison. Only think I have to say about your truck is your company went really cheap on the interior, the dash plastic by the gauges and switches looks better with the simulated wood or marble that freightliner offers and doesn't cost that much more but looks 100x better.

Roger, Don't know how it works in Canada, but CB's are the property of the driver in the US. I've never had a truck "come" with a CB... I always have to put in my own.

@oscarfish38 I wouldn't say MB owned FL as Freightliner is owned by Chrysler and Chrysler and MB merged for a while. As such chrysler utilized MB offerings which is nothing new for chrysler as they have done it for many years now, 'member the mitsubishi inspired sebring and metric parts? But now I think Freightliner is divided off of chrysler and no longer financially united as Chrysler has now bought mack trucks to move their own freight.

@Drue192 Ford sold their heavy truck division and they changed the name to Sterling. When they dicided to shut Sterling, they rebranded it and called in a freightline Cascadia. It isi pretty funny, download a picture of one of the last year Sterling and compare it to the Cascadia....they changed the size of the sleeper windows.

I don't drain the labtop battery because it's connected to the truck inverter. I have 1000Wats of power available, so my labtop AND microwave can be connected the same time.

I have too much music for a simple mp3 player to be practical.

Yeah, there's a reason that Mercedes Benz' are taxis over there and their trucks rock and our trucks suck and the cars are $80,000...I think they like to mess with our heads

Over here we call them freightshakers even though Mercedes have been making them since 1991. Trucking companys like them cuz they are cheap and I have only driven one with over 400K miles, thank god. Even though Paccar is now foreign owned KW's and Pete's are two examples of quality american trucks (cabs are so tight that you have to have a window slightly open to shut a door). Also just for info, the White company originally made: Freightliner, Western Star, and Volvo.

We need them in Australia. Our Centery Class freightliners don't let enough air through the engine bay and the radiator is too small. The truck gets too hot with the Cat C15 Acert motor. My truck use to do AB Triples which is 105000 kilos gross weight.

Enjoy your truck Roger! I have an '08 Cascadia; was a 13 speed but now a 9 since England removed the splitter. Costs about $550 to put it back in...

Also, make sure the truck has been recalled. Trucker Steve can back me up on this one: the SAMS can short out due to water damage, and check if the top of both windshields don't leak... -Mike
