  • Beautiful .

  • Oh thank you so much, it is my first time to groom Molly and I was scared.....She will be the envy of all the other Westies now and we need not be embarrassed about her unkempt look.

  • wow it always take me 20 minutes to do my westie head i envy fast groomer, you are an amazing groomer

  • good job u helped me

  • Brilliant job, helped by having a brilliant little dog Olivia. Now can you show me how to stop my dogs from trying to eat the scissors! Ha ha!

I just wish you lived near me..... :)

  • beautiful

  • Do you have to use curved scissors?

  • great job...two thumbs up

  • I love your work, you're a wonderful groomer.

  • Besides doing such a nice job with the haircut - you have such a nice, kind manner as well. I enjoy your videos a lot. :)

  • westie hair sometimes give me a hard time , the the hair on head is so wavey no matter what I do it doesnt lay right.. any suggestions?

  • Thanks for these kinds of videos, i have a three year old westie little boy and hes so tolerant, he lets me do anything! so im hoping i can have a go at trimming him myself :] Your tutorials are great help :)

  • Great video - thanks!

I have a rescue Westie. He was 3 1/2 whne I got him, 4 now. He just won't sit still for the grooming at all! Won't let me near his underside and gets really squirmy when I go near his face.

6 months of little tries and treats and brushing and more rewards and treats and nothing's working. .

Would love to see some advice on how to get a dog to the stage of the dog above.

  • Great videos! Very helpful. I am starting out as a groomer and they're great to watch before a new client =) Thank you so much for putting them up!

  • Thank you so much for putting videos like this on youtube. You have no idea how much you help me out! lol I would really like to see how you do a pet clip on a bichon frise, i struggle with the whole haircut... thanks!!!

  • @jesseguse Ok, I only have one Bichon who comes to me and he really doesn't get a Bichon clip but maybe next time I can put him in one first then clip him down after I tape.... will be a while though, he doesn't come in very often and then after video taping I will have to edit it down to fit on youtube, just keep checking back or send me a friend request so you are notified when I post new vids. ;)

  • you a great groomer good job

  • @anthonycentoni Thank you! :)

  • Beautiful westie head btw :)

  • Thank you! :)

  • westie faces should be done completely with thinning shears.. and you NEVER use curved shears on ears. just sayin'..

  • I always do use thinning shears and I don't even own straight shears so I don't believe that sorry. ;) You can use whatever is comfortable to you, for me it is curves. :)

  • @ sooutsidethenorm. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and as you can see spanielmom93 was very careful and didn't hurt the dog. It all depends what works best for you and what you're comfortable with.

  • @sunshinepamperedpaws I do use shears on the head... not sure who this is directed at though... ???

  • no not to you another person made a comment about how you arent to use shears on the head,it was directed at that person sorry for the misunderstanding:)

  • @sunshinepamperedpaws Ah, no worries, thanks for defending me. ;)

  • Your welcome!

  • Yeah! unfortunately I finished grooming her yeterday, Maybe after the new year?

  • Totally understand I can wait til you need to do it again. :) Thanks!

  • What a good doggy! and a good groomer! I groom my norfolk terrier myself, I hand strip her, but I do cut the paws, and I do a terrible job cutting them too!

  • Thank you! Olivia is a good girl! I would love to see how you hand strip, I have been told how to do it but have never been shown, you should tape a tutorial on hand stripping for me. ;)

  • WOW I love all your videos, they are soooo helpful and informative. Your a great teacher. I recently started grooming myself about 8 months ago and I will be grooming a westie next week. BUT the dog has floppy ears and is 1 yr old. Would the grooming be the same process for the ears? Just wondering.

Thanks a bunch! And keep up the great work!

    Francine

  • Floppy ears huh?... well it just depends, is his hair really long? If so it may be the weight of his hair that is keeping his ears down and if you clipped them like I showed in the video they may stand up. I would just make sure to please the owner no matter what. ;) Good luck!

  • Thanks soooo much!! I will definitely discuss this with the owner.

    Francine

  • great video

  • Great video! Thank you!

    Kiss from one Croatian groomer!

  • Thanks! :) Smooch back! :)

  • Fabulous spanielmom93! I have always used this similar technique grooming my westie customers, u should make a dvd of your 4 parts and offer them to new westie owners. You give ALL pro groomers a great name, thanks xxxx

  • That is very kind of you to say. :) If I had a good camera and good lighting I certainly would make a DVD. I appreciate your kind words thank you very much! :D
