Believe me, She doesn't get the credit she deserves! I went to see both of them, Celine Dion Concert are more like a side show, dancers, view, etc.she does have a good voice but also a husband that have good contacts, friends etc. but Lara Fabian by herself, ohh my Gosh, Lara is more like gooseflesh all over your body from the 1st. song until the last one, amazing! I listen both of them and it is very clear to me who gets the Soprano voice. Hello From Quebec Lara and Celine.

I'm happy Ne partez pas sans moi won. It's composed better than Croire, and Celine's vocals are as usual, superb. On a side note, Lara and Celine couldn't have chosen more hideous outfits, even if they wanted to. That's why 80's fashion utterly sucked...

There is only one thing that remains from this performance: Lara's voice. The song is not that beautiful, the orchestration is bad and the presentation is week. But her voice.... beyond imagination. Celine had more on her side: the voice, the song, even the outfit that scandalised many people. Anyway, Lara had her success. Good job girl!

While I can agree, that this songs needs a really strong voice, like Lara's, to be done justice, I think you're a bit too hard on it. Well, at least you admit, that Lara has a great voice.

As far as song and performance goes, I would have understood if this had finished 1 point behind Celine. It would have been fortuitously prophetic, seeing how Lara has been chasing Celine's tail in the ballad market ever since. This song is just a bit too short, but the little we get of this atmospheric piece is solid, performed with that massive set of lungs that is Lara Fabian. The lyrics are also open for interpretation (but is it superstitiously a good idea to start a song with the word no?)

Yea I think had Lara sung a more upbeat song she would have given Celine a run for her money. But how spectacular to have both Lara and Celine sing at the same Eurovision. History will record that moment as two stars colliding in a cosmos far beyond our comprehension back then.
