One of my favorite romantic composers and virtuoso, Nicolo Paganini. If you play this you may be able to play almost everything, (and your videos tells me that you do:). You have my admiration.

@drunksingsheep.. No one is better than Itzhak Perlman, I admit that calligop did a well rendition of this but not better than Perlmans.. One also has to take into consideration that the playback/editing/dubbing can alter the pitch of any performance. And also the pitch one uses to tune to. The most standard tuning these days are 442a instead of 440a. So maybe you should break out your tuner and adjust the Herz to different qualities and really test what "perfect pitch" really is..

I have a cassette of Itzag Perlman playing all 24 caprices, and his intonation is sharp and flat! I have a pitch-perfect ear, and you are better than he! I really like the 1st caprice; Nonstop ricochets and double-stops! Please watch my violin videos, calligop! You will find that I am pretty good for a self-taught violinist! I have played on street corners downtown. I played until my fingertips turned black! I use Thomastik Dominant strings. Do U use real cat-gut strings or Thomastiks?

It comes from using a lot of bow and using a straight bow as well. There definitely many other factors, so you should probably see a teacher to try to get this tone.

I wish you good luck with getting in, although I doubt that you'll need it. :) I really enjoyed listening to this, especially since I am currently trying to tackle this piece. I've only been playing for 8 years, with private lessons on and off (I mostly play in school) however, and none of my friends seem to think that I can learn the piece. XD This was awesome though! Great job.

That's pretty much what I was thinking :P. Of course, it wasn't as fast as some performances, but it was so great that you'd think he had been practicing a lot more than a week :P. Of course, he probably put in a lot of work, and many hours each day, though that's still very impressive.
