REMEMBER WATCHING HIM PLAY ON TV AND DOING HIS BALL DRIBBLING SKILLS AND OTHERS THAT HE SHOWED WHEN I WAS YOUNGER---- HE WAS GREAT---- R I P PISTOL--- GOD BLESS YOU
man if this happened in today's era he would prolly still be alive with the technology of today compared to in 1988 I was born with a hole in my heart and suffered 4 episodes of my heart beating 300bpm 1time playin ball and im only 26 and somehow survived and today I now have a defibrilator in my chest to control it. what a blessing R.I.P PISTOL
@TheCrew906 It wasn't a hole in the heart.. It was a 'heart defect'--so 'rare' no statistics exist. Enlarged heart yet weak because he was born 'without' one of the two artery systems that supply the heart with blood.
(Take notes if you will) as I have read about this defect he was lucky he wasn't dead before 18... So he was blessed in ways... Playing in the NBA with out one of your main arteries in your heart.. *Think what he could do with a healthy heart...?
@GialloHorror It was an amazing experience I promise you. I got to spend time with him at a sports camp in the early 70's. Very modest guy, almost shy when you talked to him. He put on a clinic for us and that is still the most incredible athletic exhibition I have ever seen or ever will see.
...But it's how Pete would wanna go... Honestly he loved basketball and he died playing it...

I wish I could've saw The Pistol play. He was just a little before my time
